Zelda Breath of the Wild Treasure Merchant’s Hood - How to get Ravio’s Hood in the BOTW Champions’ Ballad DLC

This is our guide on how to get started with the Zelda Breath of the Wild Champions' Ballad DLC pack.

We absolutely loved Ravio back in The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, and you can obtain an item that's pretty close to him in Breath of the Wild. In this Zelda Breath of the Wild Ravio's Hood guide, we'll be walking you through how to get Ravio's outfit in Zelda Breath of the Wild as easily as possible.

Zelda Breath of the Wild Ravio’s Hood

Unlike the story-specific quests in The Champions’ Ballad DLC Pack 2, you can take on the EX: Treasure Merchant’s Hood quest as soon as you’ve heard Zelda call to Link after installing the DLC Pack, regardless of whether you’ve beaten all four Divine Beasts scattered throughout Hyrule.

Once you’ve received the EX: Treasure Merchant’s Hood quest, you’ll have to head over to Deya Village Ruins, and find Misko’s Journal, buried underneath a fallen beam of wood in a ruined house. Simply travel to Dueling Peaks Tower, and paraglide west and slightly south, and the house containing Misko’s Journal will be one of the first ones that you come across.

Misko’s Journal gives you a mysterious clue as to where the chest containing the Treasure Merchant’s Hood is located, reading “The traveling merchant’s hood is in the right hand of the dragon that consumes the Spring of Courage at Dracozu Lake.” If you haven’t already discovered the Shrine at Dracozu Lake, you can reach the destination by quickly heading directly south from Dueling Peaks Tower.

If you head down into Dracozu Lake from the north, you’ll find yourself looking down on the head of the dragon, a massive statue that houses both a Shrine and the Spring of Courage. From here, you’ll want to take out the Moblin and the Lizalfos in the surrounding area with arrows or the Bomb Rune, and then stand so you’re facing the head of the dragon.

You’ll note that along with the statue of the head of the dragon, there are two stone claws either side of it, and you’ll want to head to the claw on your left. As you approach the claw, use your Magnesis Rune to find the chest buried in the ground underneath the claw, and pull it up out of the ground. Open up the chest to claim Ravio’s Hood for Link, bringing the EX: Treasure Merchant’s Hood quest to a close.
