Zelda Breath of the Wild Dark Armor - How to get the Phantom Ganon Armor in the BOTW Champions' Ballad DLC

This is our guide on how to get started with the Zelda Breath of the Wild Champions' Ballad DLC pack.

The Champions' Ballad DLC introduces some pretty nice items for Link to obtain in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, one of which is the Phantom Ganon armor. In this Zelda Breath of the Wild Dark Armor guide, we'll be walking you through how to get the Ganon armor in Zelda Breath of the Wild, which gives Link a pretty terrifying appearance.

Zelda Breath of the Wild Dark Armor

To start off the brand new EX: Dark Armor Rumors quest in The Champions' Ballad DLC, you'll want to head to Deya Village Ruins, which can be reached by simply travelling south east from Bosh Kala Shrine. In the ruins of the village, you'll find the book inside the remains of a house, mostly hidden from the sight underneath a fallen wooden beam.

Zelda Breath of the Wild Phantom Ganon Skull

To obtain the first item listed in the series of mysterious descriptions, you'll want to warp to Faron Tower, and then paraglide your way to Corta Lake. When you get there, you'll want to stand at the bottom of the waterfall directly above Corta Lake, and use your Magnesis Rune, revealing a sunken chest at the very bottom of the waterfall.

Pull the chest out of the water and onto solid land with the Magnesis Rune, and the first item of the set, the Phantom Ganon Skull, is yours to equip on Link.

Zelda Breath of the Wild Phantom Ganon Outfit

For the second item of the Dark Armor set in the EX: Dark Armor Rumors side quest, you'll want to warp straight back to the top of Faron Tower, but this time paraglide west, until you reach Sarjon Bridge, the only bridge that crosses Floria River.

Once you're on top of the bridge, create an ice block using the Cryonis Rune either side of the bridge, hop onto the block, and then face back towards Sarjon Bridge. If you now use the Magnesis Rune, you'll now see a chest underneath the bridge, which you can pull up to claim, recovering the Phantom Ganon Armor outfit for Link.

For the third and final item in the Dark Armor collection, you'll want to head to the Qukah Nata Shrine, west of Faron Tower, and paraglide south west, until you're at the western edges of Ebara Forest.

Zelda Breath of the Wild Phantom Ganon Greaves

To uncover the chest containing the Phantom Ganon Greaves needed to complete the set, you'll want to find the statue in the immediate area that's in ruins, with another two nearby that are in perfect condition. Head round the back of the base of the ruined statue, and use your Magnesis Rune once again to pull the chest out of the ground, claiming the Phantom Ganon Greaves for your own.
