World 1
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 1-1: Super Bell Hill
Run straight ahead towards the first ? Block. Hitting it causes a Super Bell to appear. Pick it up to become Cat Mario. Now you can use claw attacks to defeat enemies and climb up the sides of walls.
What can I do with Cat Mario?
Lots of cool things! Climb up a wall by jumping towards it and tilting the left analog stick in its direction. From there, hit enemies with the Claw Attack by pressing Y, or Pounce with ZL + Y. Finally, unleash Cat Mario's Claw Dive by jumping and then holding the Y button.
Tip: The weather changes each time you return to the Super Mario 3D World Main Menu.
How do I find the Green Stars in Super Bell Hill?
Green Star #1
You'll find it near the third Horizontal Pipe you come across. Notice that it has three openings, one on the left, middle and right. The Green Star sits just above the middle opening. Go through the first entrance and quickly tap or tilt Up to pop out the middle and automatically grab the Star.
Tip: Climb trees to find coins and Power-Ups. The game will automatically store an extra Power-Up on the lower left corner of the screen. If you need it, press the – (minus) button and it will magically appear. You can switch between two Power-Ups on the fly.
Green Star #2
After reaching the Checkpoint Flag, look for the rabbit standing to the right of a tree. Use Mario's Dash ability to catch the rabbit and claim Green Star #2.
Tip: Touch the Checkpoint Flag to receive a Mushroom Power-Up.
Green Star #3
After locating Green Star #2, immediately climb the mountain and look for the large bunny. Chase after the rabbit and grab the Mega Mushroom. Now Mario is super sized! Drop down, go right and quickly stomp across the board until you reach a cobblestone bridge. It will automatically crumble, revealing a hidden room and Green Star #3.
Tip: Running out of time? Look for the + Clock near the giant bunny and collect it for an extra 100 seconds.
How long does the Mega Mushroom last in Super Mario 3D World?
Roughly 17 seconds, plenty of time to track down the third Green Star.
Where is the Stamp in Super Bell Hill?
Remember the second mountain where you found the giant bunny? At its base is a Green Pipe. Go inside to locate the first Stamp.
Tip: Run through bushes to grab the occasional gold coin.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 1-2: Koopa Troopa Cave
Immediately move left and hit the Item Block to reveal a Super Leaf. Pick this up to transform Mario into Tanooki Mario. From there, go down the green pipe to enter Koopa Troopa Cave.
What can I do with Tanooki Mario?
Hit enemies with Tanooki Mario's Tail Attack by pressing Y. You can also deliver two complete Tail Spins by pressing ZL + Y. Lastly, you can Float by pressing and then holding the B button.
Tip: Did you know you can get Infinite Lives in World 1-2: Koopa Troopa Cave?
How do I find the Green Stars in Koopa Troopa Cave?
Green Star #1
Look for it between two sets of floating (and infinite) platforms; the left platforms move up, the right platforms move down. Green Star #1 just sits there waiting for you to collect it.
Tip: Immediately afterwards, jump into the next pipe to find a + Clock, which adds 100 seconds to the timer.
Green Star #2
Just beyond the Checkpoint Flag is a purple box. Touch it to enter a room with two Koopa Troopas, both of which charge towards Mario. Defeat them to reveal Green Star #2. Don't waste time. You only have six seconds to collect it.
Tip: After running into the Checkpoint Flag, place Mario between the two flames and jump to reveal a rectangular block. Jump on top of it, position Mario in the center and jump again to hit an invisible ? Block, which produces a Fire Flower.
Green Star #3
You can't miss it. The third Green Star sits amongst a horizontal stack of Goombas. Now's a great time to use Tanooki Mario's Tail Attack.
Tip: Hitting a Koopa Troopa with a Tail Attack automatically makes it disappear. No green shell to worry about.
Where is the Stamp in Koopa Troopa Cave?
Go through a big Horizontal Pipe. Position Mario near the right side of the wall and jump to reveal a horizontal block. Jump on top of it, position Mario to the right and jump again to reveal a second horizontal block. Do this again for a third horizontal block. Jump into the pipe on the wall, which transports Mario to a secret room with gold coins and the Stamp.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 1-A: Chargin' Chuck Blockade
Look for the football helmet wearing bozo on the World Map. Walk up to him and press the A button to enter World 1-A. Here, you'll need to defeat two enemies by jumping on each of their heads twice, once to knock off the football helmet, and again to put him away for good. Do that to reveal gold coins and a Green Star.
Tip: You can defeat these guys using other Power-Ups, like Tanooki Mario's Tail Attack, for example.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 1-3: Mount Beanpole
It's time to head upwards in this vertical course. The Super Bell is without question the best Power-Up to have.
How do I find the Green Stars in Mount Beanpole?
Green Star #1
When the course begins, immediately climb the tall tree on Mario's left to find the first Green Star. Doing this also lets you tilt the Wii U GamePad to get a better look at the stage.
Tip: See the horizontal row of moving blocks? Hit the POW Block to remove the nearby Piranha Plant and get a Super Bell.
Tip: Immediately afterwards, you see another row of blocks with a POW Block. Hit it to destroy the Piranha Plant and reveal an invisible ? Block containing a 1-Up.
Green Star #2
When you see the third horizontal row of moving blocks in the stage, hit the POW Block to reveal a green pipe. Go inside, then quickly collect all of the Blue Coins to reveal the second Green Star.
Green Star #3
You'll see four cloud platforms. Use them to reach the next area. Head to the right and you'll see a large tree. Climb it to discover a stone totem with a wheel directly in front of it; the wheel contains a symbol of a Cat Paw. Hit this wheel a few times and watch as the totem grows. Climb it as quickly as possible, then jump into the cloud with the smiley face.
To collect the third Green Star, you must clear the obstacle course. Best way to do that? Hit the ? Block to score a Super Star, which makes Mario invincible. From there, charge through the Piranha Plants and jump across the gaps. You'll need to make one final jump at the end to grab the Green Star.
Where is the Stamp in Mount Beanpole?
It's right next to the third horizontal row of moving blocks you encounter. Position Mario directly underneath its shadow and then wall jump to collect it.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 1-4: Plessie's Plunging Falls
This level is all about hopping on top of Plessie and riding the dinosaur to the goal. To control the speed, use the Left Stick or Up and Down on the D-pad. You can jump by pressing the B or 2 button, depending on the controller you use.
We can't stress this enough: you need to know when to speed up and slow down.
Tip: Each Gold Ring you pass through gives you three Gold Coins.
How do I find the Green Stars in Plessie's Plunging Falls?
Green Star #1
It's right above the second group of enemies you encounter. Zip across the speed ramp and then jump to collect the Green Star, but be careful. It's easy to miss.
Green Star #2
Ascend the cascading waterfall to collect the green 1-Up at the top, then charge down via the ramp. There will be a waterfall on the right. Head through it to locate the second Green Star.
Tip: Going after Green Star #2 means missing the Stamp. You'll need to replay Plessie's Plunging Falls to collect everything.
Green Star #3
You'll charge down a large section of water full of dash panels and enemies. You'll be able to see the third Green Star at the bottom, sitting above a wooden ramp. Flying off the ramp is no guarantee that you'll collect it. It's higher in the air than you think. Your best bet is to hit the dash panel and then press the jump button as you fly off that ramp.
Where is the Stamp in Plessie's Plunging Falls?
You'll approach a section with two steep and dangerous drops, the first one on the left and the second on the right. Once you clear this, the Stamp is on the right, just beyond a wooden fence. Slow down to avoid going off the edge.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 1-5: Switch Scramble Circus
To beat this course, you'll need to step or jump onto blue ? Tiles to turn them into yellow ! Tiles. You can do this in no particular order, and you'll need to make them all yellow to proceed through different parts of Switch Scramble Circus.
How do I find the Green Stars in Switch Scramble Circus?
Green Star #1
Mario will run towards a purple curtain with three question mark switches built into the floor. Jump on either the left or right switch, then wall jump until you land on the platform with the first Green Star. Jump down and into the ! Box to proceed.
Green Star #2
Wait until you see the large red ring about midway through the course. Run through it and then quickly collect all eight red coins in no particular order to receive a Fire Flower. Move to the left and jump into the ? Box. Use the fireballs to destroy the boxes on the left to reveal the second Green Star, but make sure you collect it as quickly as possible. If the time runs out, you get booted to the spot where the ? Box used to be.
Green Star #3
Easily spotted immediately after collecting Green Star #2 and reaching the top of the mountain. One of Bowser's goons will use a magic wand to fire projectiles, so keep that in mind while trying to reach the third Green Star.
Where is the Stamp in Switch Scramble Circus?
This Stamp is right at the end. Step on each blue tile switch once to lower the platform next to the flagpole. Then you simply need to perform a wall jump to collect it.
Tip: Cat Mario is the best way to reach the top of the flagpole in Switch Scramble Circus, especially if you collect the Stamp. You may need to replay this course for 100 percent completion.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat Captain Toad Goes Forth
Throughout Mario and the gang's journey, you'll encounter special courses that make up Captain Toad's Adventures. Each one challenges you to collect five Green Stars with the fearless Captain Toad, but there's a catch. Captain Toad cannot jump, only Dash. On top of that, you'll need to adjust the camera by physically tilting the GamePad. Good luck!
In Captain Toad Goes Forth, you'll see a Green Star as soon as you turn the corner, but leave it alone for now. Instead, collect the one underneath the floating platform. From there, walk up the ramp and step onto that moving platform to collect the next Green Star. Now hitch a ride on that same platform and walk on the other side of the dirt column.
You'll see two entrances. Walk into the one on the left and pop out the other side for the next Green Star. Now enter the one on the right and come out the other side, but avoid the enemies. Take the ramp up and stand on the grate. Blow into the Wii U GamePad microphone to make it go up. Avoid the second group of enemies and collect the fourth Green Star, then walk the plank and nab the fifth and final Green Star. That's it! You're done!
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat Bowser's Highway Showdown
Hold on there, Mario. You'll need 10 Green Stars to unlock Bowser's Highway Showdown. Make sure you collected enough.
How do I find the Green Stars in Bowser's Highway Showdown?
Green Star #1
As soon as the course begins, you'll see a Green Star Ring on the left. Walk into it and quickly collect the eight green coins, and the first Green Star will appear.
Tip: There's an invisible block right beneath the Green Star Ring, against the wall.
Green Star #2
There's a wheel with a paw print symbol. Climb up and hit this switch repeatedly to raise the platforms. Use Cat Mario to quickly ascend, and you'll find the second Green Star to the right.
Green Star #3
You can't miss Green Star #3. It's right between a stack of Goombas. By now, you know what to do.
Where is the Stamp in Bowser's Highway Showdown?
Right beneath the wheel with the cat paw symbol. Send one of those exploding Kick Bombs in its direction to break the stone and reveal the Stamp.
How do I beat Bowser in Bowser's Highway Showdown?
Check out Bowser's ride! This boss fight is easy, especially if you're Cat Mario. Bowser throws explosive Kick Balls at Mario, and you need to hit them with a Claw Attack to send them back, whereupon which they'll blow up and damage the car. It takes three direct hits to defeat Bowser, and you need to be patient while avoiding his flame attacks; Kick Bombs to the right or left will chip away at Bowser, and it will take more hits to win.
World 2
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 2-1: Conkdor Canyon
You reached the sand world! First, you must deal with pesky yet predictable birds.
How do I find the Green Stars in Conkdor Canyon?
Green Star #1
Head to the right and you'll see two platforms appearing and then disappearing into the side of a mountain. Jump onto one of those platforms, then climb up the wall as Cat Mario to reach the Green Star.
Green Star #2
By now, you're very familiar with those annoying Conkdor birds that dig their beaks into the sand. Look for the one surrounded by four piles of grey bricks. Where you move, it moves. Trick it into destroying the right-most pile of blocks to reveal the second Green Star.
Tip: You can attack a Conkdor from the rear to avoid its beak attack.
Green Star #3
Mario will approach a bridge comprised of numerous horizontal tiles, and you'll see the flagpole in the distance; you'll also see the Stamp right in front of you. Collect the Stamp and head right, away from the bridge to find a bird harassing a Toad. Kill the bird, and Toad will give you the final Green Star.
Tip: You'll unlock Super Mario 3D World's MiiVerse and Ghost Mii features after completing Conkdor Canyon.
Where is the Stamp in Conkdor Canyon?
Refer to Green Star #3 to find out where the Stamp is.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 2-2: Puffprod Peaks
How do I find the Green Stars in Puffprod Peaks?
Green Star #1
Mario will approach a wall of moveable platforms. Begin swiping on the right and move left. As usual, it's better to have Cat Mario, since he'll be able to climb up the wall and jump onto platforms. You'll find the first Green Star on the top left corner.
Tip: Whenever you see a Wii U GamePad icon, look at the touchscreen and swipe the platform to raise it. This helps Mario reach new heights. Well, unless he's Cat Mario. Then you climb up the wall.
Green Star #2
There's a smiley face cloud near some moveable platforms. Blow into the Wii U GamePad microphone to hitch a ride on these platforms, then hop into the cloud to visit an obstacle course. Hit the block to grab a Super Star, then use Mario's newfound invincibility to charge through the enemies. Look for the second Green Star at the end of this obstacle course, and jump to collect it.
Tip: You can push tiny Goombas backwards by blowing into the Wii U GamePad microphone.
Green Star #3
Look for three platforms stuck into the side of the wall. Swipe three times to make each one appear. Stand on the third platform and blow into the Wii U GamePad Microphone to make another platform appear directly beneath the one you are standing on; continue blowing to keep it there. The platform Mario is standing on will vanish, allowing him to safely fall onto the one below. It will take you to the third and final Green Star.
Tip: Blow into the Wii U GamePad microphone to see invisible blocks.
Where is the Stamp in Puffprod Peaks?
Early on, you will see two lightly colored platforms beside each other on the ground, with bricks above each one. Sliding up on the left platform raises it, producing tiny Goombas. Sliding up on the right one reveals a hidden area. Drop into it to find the Stamp.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 2-3: Shadow-Play Alley
Mario enjoys a game of shadows in this tricky course.
How do I find the Green Stars in Shadow-Play Alley?
Green Star #1
Couldn't be more obvious. You'll see its shadow projected onto a wall, along with two coins. You just need to walk towards the TV screen to find it.
Green Star #2
Time for more shadow play trickery. Look for a section of a wall covered in purple-ish creatures with menacing eyes. Smash through these creeps to reveal a purple item box, and touch it to get transported to a secret room. Hit the blue switch to reveal the Green Star's shadow on the right wall. It's a projection, obviously, so you'll need to drop down and walk through a hidden passageway underneath the stone staircase.
Green Star #3
Finally! A red door. This is the end of the course, right? Yes, but you still have one more thing to do. Instead of opening the door, head right to find a terrified Toad. He appears to be afraid of Bowser's shadow. Run towards the screen to reveal a wooden (and harmless) Bowser. Jump into it and the caricature breaks into several pieces. The now relieved Toad will hand over the third Green Star as a thank you.
Where is the Stamp in Shadow-Play Alley?
Wait until Mario transforms into a shadow. You'll see the Stamp in a small room right beneath a giant Piranha Plant. Jump down into the gap just before the Stamp and use Cat Mario's Claw Attack to smash through the bricks. Now show that Piranha Plant you mean business.
Tip: You can also access the room after killing the Piranha Plant from behind. In fact, you can avoid the Piranha Plant altogether by smashing through all the bricks below.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 2-4: Really Rolling Hills
How do I find the Green Stars in Really Rolling Hills?
Green Star #1
Run straight ahead. When you can't go anymore, there are two trees to your right, take the Horizontal Pipe and then climb up the wall as Cat Mario to find the first Green Star.
Tip: Climb the tree on the left for some gold coins.
Green Star #2
Once you're below ground, take the low road until you reach a green pipe. Go inside to enter a room filled with light-up switches on the floor. Light them all up (even the ones on the steps against the wall) to score the second Green Star.
Green Star #3
It's easy to miss this Green Star. While belowground, wait until you come across three very large and slow moving wheels. Your first instinct probably involves jumping to each one to avoid falling into the abyss below, right? Turns out, Mario will survive the fall. There's a hidden area just beneath these wheels where the third Green Star resides.
Where is the Stamp in Really Rolling Hills?
At the beginning of the course, head left and you'll see two small bodies of water. The one on the right has a patch of land with a switch. Jump onto it to reveal the Stamp.
Tip: Walk up to stunned enemies and Mario will automatically dispose of them with a kick.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 2-A: Big Galoomba Blockade
All you need to do is defeat the three large Galoombas. Each one will take a few hits before going down, and the game will reward you with gold coins and a Green Star.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat Mystery House Melee
Surprise, there are five Green Stars up for grabs in the Mystery House, one in each room. All five are easy to obtain. You just defeat five groups of enemies. The game gives you 10 seconds to beat each group, which are as follows:
- Green Star #1: Two Galoombas
- Green Star #2: Two Koopa Troopas
- Green Star #3: Two Cat Goombas
- Green Star #4: Four Conkdor Birds
- Green Star #5: Two Fire Bros
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 2-5: Double Cherry Pass
We have a feeling you'll see double in no time.
How do I find the Green Stars in Double Cherry Pass?
Green Star #1
Head to the right until you see a vertical pipe. Smash the wooden crates to the right of the pipe to reveal the first Green Star.
Tip: Pick up the Double Cherry to add another Mario to your team. Now you have double Claw Attacks, or Fireballs if you prefer.
Green Star #2
You'll approach two red switches, both of which display the letter P. You'll need a Double Cherry to make this work. Position both characters in the middle of the red switches and move them forward. Notice how they split up. Now hit the jump button so each character lands on a switch at the same time. This allows you to collect Green Star #2.
Green Star #3
OK, so you found the flagpole. See the panel on the left side with the number 4 on it? You need to have four characters in your possession. Position all of them on the platform and ride it up to collect the final Green Star.
Tip: There's an invisible item box somewhere near the flagpole. Hit it to reveal a Double Cherry. It'll come in handy in case you only have three Marios. Of course, if you have four, this will add a fifth.
Where is the Stamp in Double Cherry Pass?
After collecting the second Green Star, you'll approach a wall with three question mark blocks to the right. Hitting the left most block produces another block, then another and so on and so forth. You need to put one character on top of that block and one beneath it. Continue hitting the block to create a stack. You'll see the Stamp at the top.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat Bowser's Bullet Bill Brigade
It's much easier to beat this course if you have a Cannon Box, a Power-Up that lets you automatically fire cannonballs. You'll find one at the beginning of Bowser's Bullet Bill Brigade, in the second set of four question mark blocks you come across.
How do I find the Green Stars in Double Cherry Pass?
Green Star #1
This Green Star sits right behind three fire-spewing Piranha Plants.
Green Star #2
After collecting the first Green Star, you'll find this one on the second tank you encounter. It's inside the wooden crate.
Green Star #3
Eventually, you'll come to a green pipe, but don't enter it right away. See the pieces of wood to the right with Bowser's face? Blast it to reveal the final Green Star.
Where is the Stamp in Bowser's Bullet Bill Brigade?
Did you pick up the second Green Star? The Stamp is on the very next tank, sitting on top of a metal grate.
How do I beat the boss in Bowser's Bullet Bill Brigade?
Three hits to the noggin will do it. Just be extra careful. This guy spins around the board. Hitting him causes his red shell to ricochet around the play area. The first hit is the easiest. After that, he turns invisible. Luckily, you can still make out a faint outline.
World 3
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 3-1: Snowball Park
Make sure you get a grip in this icy stage, and beware of spiky snowmen. Make sure you jump on their heads, or hit them with Tanooki Suit Mario's Tail Attack.
Tip: When the course begins, immediately head to the right and look for a Propeller Box behind the second set of trees. This lets Mario fly upward.
How do I find the Green Stars in Snowball Park?
Green Star #1
After grabbing that Propeller Box, your first instinct will be to fly. Don't! You can't reach the top of that mountain anyway. Instead, head to the right and you'll discover Green Star #1 nestled within a tiny cave.
Tip: After defeating a snowman, you can pick up the leftover snowballs and use them as projectiles.
Green Star #2
After making your way across the biggest sheet of ice in the course, roughly halfway through the stage, you'll see a rabbit on the left. You need to catch it to receive the second Green Star. We suggest hitting the bunny with a snowball to stun it. Otherwise, you'll keep running in circles.
Tip: See those ice skating Goombas? Jump on one of their heads and you'll be able to hop into the ice skate. It's much easier to move around, and it's the best way to collect all the red coins after jumping through the big red ring midway through the course.
Green Star #3
You'll find the final Green Star near the end of the level, high above some trees sitting in a little cave. Having the Propeller Box makes this a whole lot easier, but Tanooki Suit Mario's Floating ability is just as good.
Where is the Stamp in Snowball Park?
After collecting Green Star #2, head to the right and you'll see the Stamp sitting on a very narrow piece of ice.
Tip: Crouch by pressing and holding the ZL button, then tilt the left analog stick to move Mario without the threat of sliding along the ice.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 3-2: Chain-Link Charge
Better get moving. This board moves from left to right, forcing you to make quick-second decisions or risk suffering deadly consequences.
Tip: It's easier to climb chain-links as Cat Mario. There's a Super Bell hiding in the first two question mark blocks you see.
How do I find the Green Stars in Chain-Link Charge?
Green Star #1
This Green Star sits at the top of two gold rings. Quickly climb the moving chain-link to the right to snag it.
Tip: Jump into a chain-link and Cat Mario automatically latches onto it. Don't stand still for too long. Otherwise, he'll lose his grip and fall.
Green Star #2
Roughly halfway through the course, you'll see a ! box that will transport Mario to the next area of the stage. Don't go into it yet! Continue heading right to find Green Star #2. Hope you're patient. This one's tough to grab.
Green Star #3
You need Cat Mario to get the third Green Star. After traveling through a big horizontal pipe (the same one near the Stamp), hit the wheel with the cat paw symbol to raise wooden blocks, making it easier to collect the Green Star.
Where is the Stamp in Chain-Link Charge?
Right next to the first vertical pipe you come across, floating on top of two gold rings. Ideally, you want to be Cat Mario, since you'll be able to climb up the chain-link fence to get the Stamp.
Tip: After finishing World 3-2, look for a circus tent to the right. Go inside to collect another Stamp.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 3-3: Shifty Boo Mansion
Ah yes, the first haunted house in Super Mario 3D World. If you play these types of games, then you already know Boo, the ghost that disappears whenever you look in its direction. Always keep this in mind, and you'll beat this stage in short order.
Tip: Hit Boos with fireballs to make them temporarily vanish.
How do I find the Green Stars in Shifty Boo Mansion?
Green Star #1
Jump into the first Boo painting you come across, Super Mario 64 style. You'll only have 10 seconds to collect the Green Star while inside this topsy turvy room. Just remember to jump over the ghosts!
Tip: When you encounter the first giant Boo, head up the stairs and you'll see a 1-Up reflected in the mirror. Head back down to collect it.
Green Star #2
You'll find this Green Star in the room with the huge bookcase, right before the Checkpoint Flag. Use the moving platforms on the right and head over to the leftmost area of the bookcase. Shelves will move, revealing the Star you seek.
Green Star #3
Towards the end of the course, you'll come to a door with a couch on the right. Hitch a ride on it to get the final Green Star.
Where is the Stamp in Shifty Boo Mansion?
Before heading through the first purple door, you'll see a couch. Hop onto it and the couch floats upwards, revealing the Stamp.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 3-4: Pretty Plaza Panic
You better get moving. You only have 100 seconds to complete Pretty Plaza Panic! What is this, New Super Luigi U?
How do I find the Green Stars in Pretty Plaza Panic?
Green Star #1
It's right near the beginning of the course! Run towards the screen to find the first Green Star sitting on a semi-invisible cloud.
Green Star #2
Look for the green rabbit and chase after it for Green Star #2.
Tip: Collect tiny clocks to add more time.
Green Star #3
Jump into the smiley face cloud to reach an obstacle course. Hit the item box to collect a Super Star, then use Mario's newfound invisibility to charge through enemies and grab the Green Star at the end.
Tip: You can hit the last ? block an infinite number of times. Go nuts, but keep an eye on the timer.
Where is the Stamp in Pretty Plaza Panic?
While navigating your way across the second group of spinning platforms, head left until you find a switch with a crown symbol. Here's the catch: only Princess Peach can activate the switch and collect the Stamp.
Tip: Use Princess Peach's hovering ability to easily float across gaps.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 3-A: Magikoopa Blockade
How do I find the Green Star in World 3-A: Magikooka Blockade?
There's only one Green Star in this course, and it's easy to collect. Wait for the three Magikoopa's to fire projectiles towards Mario and jump on their heads. Each time you do this, the remaining enemies will disappear and then reappear someplace else. Beat them all to claim the Star.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 3: Captain Toad Makes a Splash
Enter the green pipe nearby to reach this course, then get ready to grab five Green Stars.
Once again, you must tilt the Wii U GamePad to maneuver Toad through this 3D course. Remember, Toad cannot jump.
First, slide into the water and collect the Green Star on the right, next to the horizontal pipe. Now walk around that pipe and enter the cave on the far right. Go inside to find a collectible mushroom. Take a ride in the big pipe and you'll find the next Green Star in a tiny cave near the exit.
Next, head back down through the pipe. Time to go through it again, but this time press Up on the left analog stick or D-pad to travel upwards, just before that first entrance. Walk out the other side and follow the wooden pathway all the way around. Drop down onto the grass and collect the gold coins and third Green Star. Take the pipe to the very top of the course. Tilt so that you're looking down, and safely drop to the platform to grab the fourth Green Star.
Follow the same route for the third and fourth Green Stars so that you are once again on top of the course. See the opening and P switch? Drop down to activate it, thereby raising the water level. Take the wooden path around the other side of the board, then travel up the ramp to snag the fifth Green Star and complete the course.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 3-5: Pipeline Lagoon
Get your feet wet in this challenging underwater course.
Tip: Use horizontal pipes to avoid enemies.
How do I find the Green Stars in World 3-5 Pipeline Lagoon?
Green Star #1
While underwater, you'll come to a portion of the course where the water rises and falls. Take it up to find the first Green Star.
Tip: A Fire Flower is the best item to have in Pipeline Lagoon. Those pesky fish are no match for Mario and his fireballs.
Green Star #2
After collecting the Stamp and getting the Cannonball Box, head down and to the left to see a cracked wall. Blowing it up reveals a green pipe. Take it to find the second Green Star, a whole bunch of gold coins and a + Clock for 100 additional seconds.
Tip: With the Cannonball Box item, press and hold the Y button to charge your attack.
Green Star #3
After collecting the second Green Star, head down to find three groups of spiky fish. Destroy them all with cannonballs, then head into the area where the third group used to be and swim up to find a hidden pipe. Take it up, then travel right to find the remaining Green Star.
Where is the Stamp in World 3-5 Pipeline Lagoon?
After reaching the Checkpoint Flag, head right. Swim for a little while until you notice the water rise on the top right. Swim upwards to find the Stamp on the left.
Tip: You'll also discover a Cannon Box in an item box on the right. It's very important you hang onto that.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 3-6: Mount Must Dash
This course bears a welcome resemblance to the original Super Mario Kart on the SNES. Nintendo hits us right in the nostalgia.
Tip: Immediately head left and climb the tree to discover a Super Bell.
How do I find the Green Stars in Mount Must Dash?
Green Star #1
The road eventually forks, high and low. Take the lower path and you'll find the first Green Star. Just be careful of the unstable platforms.
Green Star #2
After hitting the Checkpoint Flag, move right a bit until you discover a purple ! box. Go inside and it will transport you to a secret area. The goal? Catch the rabbit and you'll score the second Green Star.
Green Star #3
Now that you have the Stamp (see below), run towards the orange box but don't go inside, otherwise you'll blow your chance to grab the final Green Star.
Here's the deal: you need Peach to get this one. Build up crazy speed, slide down the ramp (doesn't matter if you slide through the enemies) and send Peach flying via the spring pad. Use her hovering ability and the Star is yours.
Tip: If you miss this jump, kill Peach to restart at the Checkpoint Flag to get another crack at it.
Where is the Stamp in Mount Must Dash?
After collecting Green Star #2, take the speed pads to build momentum. You'll reach a jump pad that propels you to a couple of bouncy pads. You'll grab this Stamp after flying off the second pad.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 3-7: Switchboard Falls
Tip: After riding the first big switch, head left and climb. On the fifth platform is a 1-Up sitting inside of an invisible item block, dead center.
How do I find the Green Stars in Switchboard Falls?
Green Star #1
Take the second switch down a large ramp. You'll quickly see a platform with time clocks and a green pipe. Jump onto it (it's OK, you don't need the ramp) and enter the pipe. You'll pop out the other side and fall onto unstable platforms. Let them fall and follow the trail of gold coins to the first Green Star.
Tip: All the way at the bottom, underneath the water, is an invisible block. Blow into the Wii U GamePad microphone to see its location.
Green Star #2
After the Checkpoint Flag, take the next group of switches and make note of the waterfall on the other side. You'll see gold coins behind it. Jump through the waterfall, head right and drop down. When you land on the switch, hit left and crouch. The switch will take you to Green Star #2
Tip: Peach's hovering ability makes her a prime pick for obtaining 100 percent completion on Switchboard Falls.
Green Star #3
You'll locate the last Green Star on the final set of switches. Instead of going all the way to the bottom set of rails, take the medium set to the right.
Where is the Stamp in Switchboard Falls?
When you reach the final group of switches, just before the flagpole, take the one all the way on the bottom and head left and then right to locate the Stamp.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 3: The Bullet Bill Express
We hope you're OK with Bullet Bills, because those guys are all over the place in this level. Don't worry, they have explosive personalities.
How do I find the Green Stars in The Bullet Bill Express?
Green Star #1
Definitely one of the easiest Green Stars to track down. You'll see it at the rear of the train.
Green Star #2
Sitting on a stack of Goombas. You should have no trouble getting this Green Star. Just keep an eye on the Bullet Bills flying in from the background.
Green Star #3
Take the first green pipe that you see to get transported to the train in the background. See the box on the right? Break it to reveal a Toad, who will give you the final Green Star.
Tip: Those humongous Bullet Bills are a pain, yes? If you possess a Mushroom or higher Power-Up, crouch and they'll float above your head. Already small? Simply walk underneath them.
Where is the Stamp in The Bullet Bill Express?
Wait until you reach the Fire Bros. There's one on top, and one on the bottom. The one on the bottom guards the Stamp.
How do I beat the boss in The Bullet Bill Express?
This ninja-star throwing boss not only disappears and reappears, but also splits into multiple copies of herself. That said, three hits to the head will take care of her, and we strongly suggest attacking before she has a chance to throw stars. Otherwise, the battle will take considerably longer.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 3-B: A Banquet with Hisstocrat
What, you thought World 3 was over? Nope. Nintendo throws you a curveball with the surprise of World 3-B. It's time for another boss fight!
How do I beat the boss in A Banquet with Hisstocrat?
It takes three attacks to the head to defeat this oversized snake. Dodge his rock attacks by watching the shadows along the ground. Afterwards, snakes with dinner plates on their heads will burst from the ground. The idea here is to climb onto the tallest snake and then jump on top of Hisstocrat. Thing is, those snakes eventually escape belowground and reappear someplace else. You'll also have to worry about those aforementioned rocks in between. On top of that, not all snakes have dinner plates on their heads. The ones that don't bite, so avoid them at all costs.
Tip: Once you recognize the patterns, this predictable fight is easy to win. The key to success is patience. Wait for the perfect time to strike.
World 3 is finally over! Congratulations!
World 4
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 4-1: And Trooper Hill
We hope you're OK with ants, because the little buggers have taken over this course, but don't fear. Cat Mario has this covered.
How do I find the Green Stars in Ant Trooper Hill?
Green Star #1
When you exit the first cave, head all the way to the right and use Cat Mario to climb up the wall. The Green Star is at the top.
Tip: Cat Mario makes beating this course much easier. Don't fight the meow.
Green Star #2
After collecting Green Star #1, head across the bridge. Don't attack the giant ants exiting the cave on the left. Instead, hitch a ride on one of them to avoid the spikes, but first, take the green pipe that leads to Green Star #2. You'll need Cat Mario to climb the wall while avoiding the ants.
Green Star #3
Now that you grabbed the second Green Star, get on board another ant to easily nab the third.
Tip: Mario bounces on the ants' heads. You'll need to carefully maneuver the left analog stick to maintain his balance.
Where is the Stamp in Ant Trooper Hill?
It's inside the first cave, sitting atop a platform guarded by eight ants.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 4-2: Piranha Creeper Creek
One Piranha Plant is a pain, but these guys take it to a whole other level. They crawl around like snakes!
Tip: Jump on their heads once to stun them, then once more to put them away for good.
How do I find the Green Stars in Piranha Creeper Creek?
Green Star #1
While inside the cave, jump onto the platform with the glowing purple box. This will transport you to a secret area, and you have to jump onto the Piranha Plants' heads to reach the Green Star, but it's not as easy as it seems. Our advice? Go with Princess Peach.
Tip: Despite their slithery appearance, these Piranha Plants have limited range, and are therefore easily avoided.
Green Star #2
Wait for the first time Mario can go underwater, and do just that. The second Green Star is within easy reach.
Green Star #3
It's near the end, in a section with Piranha Plants and rotating lilly pads. You'll see a Green Star Ring in the middle of it all. Run through that and collect the eight green coins to receive the third Green Star.
Where is the Stamp in World 4-2 Piranha Creeper Creek?
Just before the green pipe that sends you to the section containing the final Green Star, you'll see a Piranha Plant slithering in and out of a wall. Jump on its head to access a secret area full of coins and the Stamp at the end.
Tip: DO NOT fall into the purple goop.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 4-A: Brolder Blockade
How do I find the Green Star in Brolder Blockade?
Jump on top of, or Claw Attack, the boulders to stun them. They'll retreat inside their rocky exteriors. Now you just have to walk up to these oversized pebbles to pick them up and chuck them into the lava.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 4-3: Beep Block Skyway
Make sure you keep the beat in this musical level! No seriously, tiles disappear and reappear, to a beat that is essentially "beep, beep, beep, switch!" So long as you have the timing down, you'll breeze through Beep Block Skyway with little trouble.
How do I find the Green Stars in Beep Block Skyway?
Green Star #1
Easily spotted floating above some platforms. Jump as soon as they appear and grab it, then get the heck out of there.
Tip: You'll need the Double Cherry to activate switches in Beep Block Skyway. The more the merrier.
Green Star #2
Once you reach the Checkpoint Flag and grab the Stamp (see below), head right to an orange box; getting inside transports you to the next part of the course. Avoid the boomerang-throwing enemies and pick up the Double Cherry from the item blocks against the wall. Climb the platforms and enter the green pipe. The idea here is to collect all the blue coins to get the second Green Star. You only get one shot at this, so be quick about it.
Tip: Getting hit with a boomerang causes you to lose one character, so long as you picked up the Double Cherry.
Green Star #3
Very easy so long as you have at least two characters. Before heading to the flagpole, place two heroes on the identical P switches and the third Green Star materializes. Now let's climb that flagpole and beat this course for good!
Tip: The Double Cherry adds one more character (a carbon copy of the one you chose) to the group. Are they too far apart? Walk into a wall to group them closer together.
Where is the Stamp in Beep Block Skyway?
After hitting the Checkpoint Flag, stand on the platform with the number 4; you need four characters to make this work, obviously. The platform will rise, revealing the Stamp for this course.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 4-4: Big Bounce Byway
It's all trampolines in this course! Let's bounce!
How do I find the Green Stars in Big Bounce Byway?
Green Star #1
The first Green Star is at the top of a mountain. You'll see it sitting on a ledge, and guarded by three metal-looking creatures. Hit one with a fireball to transform it into a spring. Pick up the spring and position it near the Star. Now jump on top of it for a much-needed boost.
Tip: Only one spring monster actually turns into a spring. The others break apart.
Green Star #2
This one's crazy. After reaching the Checkpoint Flag, head right and you'll see two orange jump pads moving up and down against a wall to the left. They seem impossible to reach, but you'll get there with a little persistence. Pick Luigi and use his superior jumping ability. Run towards the wall perpendicular to the pads and wall jump like crazy to get up there. It's perfectly cool if it takes several attempts.
Green Star #3
Look for a purple box roughly three quarters of the way through the level. Enter it to access a secret area where the second Green Star resides. Quickly incapacitate a spring creature and use the spring to reach the Star. You only have a certain amount of time to do this. Fail, and you'll need to restart from the Checkpoint Flag.
Where is the Stamp in Big Bounce Byway?
Near the end. You'll hitch a ride on a big bouncy mushroom pad, and the Stamp is in between a lot of bugs. Make sure you time those jumps.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 4: Mystery House Mad Dash
We hope you came prepared. There are a whopping 10 Green Stars up for grabs in this course. To obtain each Star, you must clear a short obstacle course within 10 seconds. If you die, you'll keep each collected Green Star, but you'll have to run through all 10 obstacle courses to get everything.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 4-5: Spike's Lost City
Get ready to jump over lots of spiked logs. Don't worry, you'll eventually get on a roll. OK we'll stop.
How do I find the Green Stars in Spike's Lost City?
Green Star #1
Take the first green pipe you come across. Once inside this new area, turn all the blue switches yellow to release the Green Star. Watch out for those spiked logs!
Tip: Enemies are not impervious to spiked logs.
Green Star #2
Without question one of the toughest Stars to find. You'll reach a rather large ramp with three creatures rolling spiked logs. There's also a giant red ring. Run through it and collect the eight red coins to become Cat Mario. From there, hang a sharp left and climb up the arched wall. Once at the top, follow the path all the way to find the second Green Star at the end.
Green Star #3
You'll find the third Green Star sitting on a platform that bends right and left. You can't miss it, really. The platforms surrounding it feature spiked logs that roll back and forth, so make sure you time those jumps.
Tip: So long as you reach the Checkpoint Flag, you'll keep all Green Stars collected, even if you die; providing you continue restarting from that midway point. That said, it is sometimes a good idea to collect the second Green Star per course and then activate the Checkpoint Flag. Saves you from having to grab the same Star repeatedly. Keep in mind not all courses allow this.
Where is the Stamp in Spike's Lost City?
After leaving the area where you found the first Green Star, you'll see an red arrow next to five blocks. Ignore it for now. Instead, head left to discover a narrow bridge. The Stamp is at the end.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 4: Lava Rock Lair
Tip: You need 50 Green Stars to unlock this castle.
How do I find the Green Stars in Lava Rock Lair?
Green Star #1
Stun a rock monster, pick it up and toss it on one of the P switches you encounter early on in the course. Then place your character on the other P switch. A bridge will come down, revealing the first Green Star in the distance.
Tip: Rock monsters eventually wake back up. When they start to shake and sweat, put them down and back away.
Green Star #2
After taking the first horizontal pipe, head right and jump into the glowing purple box. Once inside the secret room, quickly place two rock monsters on the two P switches, then stand on the other one to get the second Green Star. You only have 10 seconds to do this AND collect the Green Star. Fail, and you'll need to replay the course.
Green Star #3
After collecting the Second Green Star, head straight ahead down the bridge. Stun and then pick up one of the rock monsters. See the Green Star floating on the left? Stand on the metal grate right in front of it, jump into the air and toss the still stunned creature to collect the final Star.
Where is the Stamp in Lava Rock Lair?
After taking the long horizontal pipe, head left and climb up the wall as Cat Mario. The first ledge contains several coins. Climb up to the second ledge for the Stamp.
How to beat the boss in Lava Rock Lair
Wow, it's a rock monster family! Don't worry, this battle is easy. Wait for the little monsters to appear. Stun, pick one up and toss it at the big guy. Three hits should do it!
World 5
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 4-5: Spike's Lost City
To complete this course, you'll need to track down five keys hidden throughout the stage.Where are they? That's what we're here for!
Where are the keys in World 4-5 Spike's Lost City?
- 1. You'll see it sitting on a pier as soon as you begin the course. Beware the bugs.
- 2. At the top of the first horizontal pipe you come across. Go inside and quickly press Up to land on a semi invisible cloud. The key is on the next cloud.
- 3. After collecting key #2, head straight down and head right a few paces until you're standing on a tiny hill. Walk towards the screen to see the third key. You have to walk in the opposite direction and drop down, then head through the secret path.
- 4. Now head right and climb the second tree you see. The fourth key is at the top.
- 5. The fifth and final key sits between a bunch of football helmet-wearing enemies. Divert their attention and grab the key.
Tip: See the giant sand statue of Bowser near the fifth key coin? Break it to reveal a golden shell. Kick it to earn a whole bunch of coins.
How do I find the Green Stars in World 5-1: Sunshine Seaside?
Green Star #1
As soon as the course begins, head to the right. See those sand sculptures made to resemble Goombas? Break the one on the far right to locate the first Green Star.
Green Star #2
Look out into the water and you'll discover a semi-secret area. Don't worry. You can walk there. Dive into the deep part and enter the green pipe. Once you're in this new area, light up all the switches on the floor by stepping on each one (and the ones on the platforms) and the second Green Star will appear.
Green Star #3
Head all the way to the right of the course until you cannot go anymore. You'll see a ledge, and perhaps the sound of Toad crying for help. Climb up as Cat Mario, and you'll discover a panicked Toad being chased by bugs. Destroy all the bugs to score the third and final Green Star.
Where is the Stamp in World 5-1 Sunshine Seaside?
Once you reach the Checkpoint Flag, head inside the Green Pipe and take a ride on Plessie, the same huggable dinosaur from World 1. As you near end, look for three wooden columns on the right. The Stamp is on the final column, and you'll need to jump from column to column in order to nab it.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 5-2: Tricky Trapeze Theater
Get into the swing of things with this circus-style course.
How do I find the Green Stars in Tricky Trapeze Theater?
Green Star #1
You'll actually see the first Green Star at the beginning of the stage on the right, as you travel aboard the floating platform.
Green Star #2
Hit the Checkpoint Flag and dispose of all those Piranha Plants via Mega Mushroom, located in the middle of the spinning board. Go right and you'll see unstable platforms. Run across and go into the green pipe.Hit the P switch in the middle of the floor, then collect ALL the blue coins before time runs out to get the second Green Star.
Tip: You'll know time is running out when the blue coins start to flash.
Green Star #3
Time to put those trapeze skills to good use. Near the end of the course you'll come across a big hollowed out Green Star. Latch onto the first trapeze and tough the Star, then quickly gather the eight green coins to reveal the final Green Star.
Where is the Stamp in World 5-2 Tricky Trapeze Theater?
After collecting the second Green Stamp, head back to the spinning board where those Piranha Plants used to be and look for the Up arrow on the far wall. Take a bouncy pad upwards and look for the Stamp on the left.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 5-3: Backstreet Bustle
Better get moving. You only have 100 seconds to clear Backstreet Bustle and three Green Stars to collect. To master this course, as you'll quickly discover, the Double Cherry is key.
How do I find the Green Stars in Backstreet Bustle?
Green Star #1
Head left until you see a crack in the floor. Do a Ground Pound to find the first Star.
Tip: Choose your path through this course wisely, and keep an eye on projectiles. You need four characters via Double Cherries to complete Backstreet Bustle 100 percent. Three won't do it, and there are a limited number of Cherries available.
Green Star #2
With four characters, stand on the floating platform with the number four. It will float upwards, allowing you to easily collect Green Star #2.
Green Star #3
With three characters or more, stand on the platform with the number three. It will transport you to the third Green Star.
Where is the Stamp in World 5-3 Backstreet Bustle?
There's a switch on the far right of the course that only Toad (and one Toad) can open. Press it to reveal the Stamp.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 5: Captain Toad Plays Peek-a-Boo
You stand to gain five Green Stars in this course, providing you help Captain Toad.
Start by going through the purple door. Once you exit, head left and stand on top of that discolored block lighter than the rest. Swipe on the Wii U GamePad to raise it, then walk along the unstable platforms to get Green Star #1. Head down the ramp and take the door on the left to get Green Star #2. Walk into the door to the right, walk along the wooden platform and drop down to the red one below. You'll want to grab the Star that appears to be within reach, but for now, head in the opposite direction.
Once you reach the block, push it out of the way by sliding a finger on the Wii U GamePad. Drop down and stand on the first light-colored block, then swipe Up. Walk to the next block and swipe Up. Walk across the wooden planks and unstable platforms until you are standing on the next light-colored block. Swipe it to move to the left, allowing you to easily collect the third Green Star. Quickly move back onto the block (it's on a timer) and carefully maneuver Captain Toad between the ghosts to gather the fourth Star. Head up the purple ramp and onto the unstable platforms. A giant Boo will appear behind you, so don't stop. Keep going until you are directly underneath the remaining Star. You'll fall down and collect it. Whew, it's over!
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 5-A: Chargin' Chuck Blockade Is Back
You should have no trouble defeating five Chargin' Chucks, right? Jump on one of their heads once to knock the helmet off, then once more to put him down. Your reward is a Green Star and some gold coins. Let's move on!
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 5-4: Sprawling Savanna
Those bothersome ants have returned. Don't be alarmed. You can handle pretty much anything at this point.
Tip: After blasting off via the first horizontal pipe, head right towards the ant with the Super Bell. Collect it to turn into Cat Mario, then climb the wall to find hidden gold coins. You won't see them at first.
How do I find the Green Stars in Sprawling Savanna?
Green Star #1
Nintendo REALLY wants you to be Cat Mario in this course, so we suggest donning the meow suit. Besides, you need it to get this Star. Here's how it works. Eventually you come to a giant wall with a horizontal pipe at the base. Avoid it for now. Go to the left and climb up the wall to track down the Star. With it almost in reach, Nintendo throws you a curve with some invisible blocks in the way. Slide back down, climb again and just avoid them. You should easily get the Star.
Green Star #2
Take a cannon to a wide open area. Look for some tiny rabbits and chase after the one with a green glow to collect the second Star.
Tip: Head backwards to discover an oversized bunny. Catch him to score some gold coins.
Green Star #3
Another Star that is just before the flagpole. While on the spinning (and very ant covered) platform, activate the hollowed out Green Star and collect the eight green coins. Now climb up that flagpole!
Where is the Stamp in World 5-4 Sprawling Savanna?
This one took a while to figure out. When you reach the huge flat area we previously mentioned, you'll notice ants on the left walking into a hole. Jump into it and you'll access a secret area with one huge ant. The Stamp is on its back.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 5-5: Bob-ombs Below
You know the saying, bombs away!
How do I find the Green Stars in Bob-ombs Below?
Green Star #1
Head right, take the first lower path until you see a wall of purple bricks. Destroy them with Tanooki Suit Mario's Tail Attack, or toss a bomb into the wall. The Green Star sits behind these purple bricks.
Tip: Jump onto a Bob-omb to render it temporarily immobile. Then you can pick up and throw it to blow things up.
Green Star #2
Hit the Checkpoint Flag, the head right to find a slow-moving wheel platform with a bunny rabbit. Catch that sucker for the second Star.
Green Star #3
Continue moving right until you get to a horizontal pipe.Right behind it sits a smiley-faced cloud. Go into the pipe and quickly press Down to go in that direction. You'll pop out near the cloud. Take it to a secret area where the goal is to light up all the switches to form a caricature of Mario from the NES days. Looks cool, sure, but you really want the Green Star that appears.
Tip: Hit POW Blocks to light up more than one section of the floor at a time, or wait for Bob-ombs to explode.
Where is the Stamp in World 5-5 Bob-ombs Below?
Immediately after grabbing the second star, go right and you'll see a cracked wall. Dispose of the bomb-carrying Goombas, pick up an explosive and throw it towards that wall to break it. Head inside and go right to find the Stamp.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 5-6: Cakewalk Flip
Don't get distracted by all the sweet looking treats in this course. Switches change position each time you jump, and by each time, we mean EACH TIME.
Tip: Run through dollops of frosting to find hidden gold coins.
How do I find the Green Stars in Cakewalk Flip?
Green Star #1
On the second set of switches, located on the far left. There's a Piranha Plant on the switch directly in front of it, so be careful.
Tip: Be careful when flipping switches. There may be a Piranha Plant hiding underneath one of them.
Green Star #2
Once you reach the Checkpoint Flag, push forward and go into the first green pipe you see (you'll need to dispose of the Piranha Plant). Once inside the room, hit the P switch and jump to guide the green Luigi ball to the switch on the lower left. You only get one shot at this.
Green Star #3
Right after grabbing Star #2, head left and make note of that big hollow Star. Touch it and then gather the eight green coins for Star #3. Easier if you have two characters via the Double Cherry.
Where is the Stamp in World 5-6 Cakewalk Flip?
This Stamp sits opposite the flagpole on the left. Thing is, you'll need at least two characters to reach it. Hope you found a Double Cherry.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 5-7: Searchlight Sneak
Tip: Bullet Bills can destroy the environment. Watch your step!
How do I find the Green Stars in Searchlight Sneak?
Green Star #1
Roughly a minute in, you'll have to cross a bridge from left to right with Bullet Bills in the background. Stun one of the spring monsters, grab the spring and continue heading right until you see Green Star #1 floating in mid-air.
Tip: Avoid the searchlights in this course. If you step inside the light, prepare for a Bullet Bill barrage.
Green Star #2
Now that you have the Stamp (see below), go right and there's a cracked wall. Lure a Bullet Bill towards it and jump at the last moment. Enter the purple box to visit a secret area, then run up the stone steps to collect the second Green Star. There are Bullet Bills all over the place and they can destroy the platforms, so don't stand around...or miss a jump, for that matter.
Tip: Look for a circus tent on the World 5 game map, and go inside for a bonus Stamp!
Green Star #3
You're unstoppable! You have the second Green Star. Run to the right and climb the stairs. Don't avoid the searchlight here. Activate the Bullet Bills and lead them into the breakable pieces of stone surrounding the last Star. Did you get the Stamp? If so, time for the flagpole.
Where is the Stamp in World 5-7 Searchlight Sneak?
You'll see it shortly after grabbing Green Star #1. Looks easy enough to nab, but there's a searchlight moving back and forth. Touch it and Bullet Bills fly in from the lower portion of the screen.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 5-B: Fire Bros. Hideout #2
There's a green pipe to the left of World 5-5, so take this baby to World 5-B, where you'll go toe-to-toe against the bothersome Fire Bros. with one Green Star up for grabs.
You have 100 seconds to defeat the single Fire Bro standing atop a stack of Goombas. There are two platforms that rise and fall. Take one up, time it just right and jump on the Fire Bros.' head. Done. The Star is yours!
Bowser Bonus Stage: Gold Coins Galore!
There's a green pipe just below World 5-7 on the World 5 map. Take it and you'll wind up on an island with two more green pipes. The bottom one transports you to World 1. The one on top takes you to golden Bowser train bonus stage where hundreds of coins (and the resulting 1-Ups) are up for grabs. Have a blast! Ah yes, and you only get one shot at this course.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 5: King Ka-thunk's Castle
World 5 was long, right? Definitely tougher than World 4. Well it's time for the final battle. Next stop, World 6. We can dig it!
How do I find the Green Stars in King Ka-thunk's Castle?
Green Star #1
Once you get past the football-helmet guys, there's a hollow Green Star. Touch it and then jump from platform to platform to collect all eight green coins. Your reward? As if you had to ask. It's the first Green Star.
Green Star #2
Timing is everything with this Green Star. Collect the Stamp (see how to do that below), drop down and Green Star #2 is right there, sitting inside those square-shaped pieces of spiked metal that by now, you are very well acquainted with, Jump through that bad boy.
Green Star #3
Near the end of the course, you'll see an orange exclamation point box. Don't go inside just yet! As Cat Mario, climb up the adjacent wall to see the last Green Star. Yay!
Where is the Stamp in World 5 King Ka-thunk's Castle?
Run through that checkpoint flag and navigate your way across a bridge. There should be a huge wall to your right. You'll see the second Green Star inside a spiked piece of metal midway through, but you're not concerned with that right now. Jump on the item blocks to your right and climb up the wall as Cat Mario. You should see the Stamp's location, sitting on a ledge.
How do I beat the boss in World 5 – King Ka-thunk's Castle
It's your worst nightmare, a giant square-shaped and spiked boss. Well, here's the thing. He's not so tough. He slowly flips around the stage. Notice the pink X on the other side of his face? Wait until he lands on the ground X side up and jump onto it three times (you only get one hit per successful attack). Watch out for the crumbling floor!
World 6
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 6-B: Fire Bros. Hideout #3
You can access this stage as soon as you reach World 6. From Prima's official guide, "look for the pictured patch of ground on the map to discover the pipe that leads to it."
This fight is all sorts of crazy. You have to beat two Hammer Bros., two Boomerang Bros. and one Fire Bro. Impossible? Of course not. These bozos can hit each other with their own projectiles, so jump at the best times and watch them take each other out. You earned that Green Star!
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 6-1: Clear Pipe Cruise
You'll encounter tricky pipes in this course, some of which feature enemies and spiked balls. Be extra careful. Otherwise, you'll lose Power-Ups and precious lives.
How do I find the Green Stars in Clear Pipe Cruise?
Green Star #1
Head through the short horizontal pipe and you'll see a much larger one, filled with spiked orbs, and low and behold, the first Green Star on the left. Hm, it's nestled between two of those spiked balls, but wait, there's a Super Star to the right. Dive into the pipe and get the star, then maneuver your character into harm's way and watch as he or she smashes through those spiked balls with ease. The Star is yours. Now use the remaining invincibility to get rid of the other spiked balls so you can proceed.
Green Star #2
It sits within a clear section of pipe. Below, two sets of indestructible monsters go in and out. Go inside and press Up to get the Star. Don't go down just yet. Wait for one of monster groups to pass and then get the heck out of there.
Green Star #3
Past the Checkpoint Flag a little ways is one of those smiley faced clouds. Jump into that guy to visit an obstacle course. Grab a potted Piranha Plant and hold on tight. Like Yoshi, it will devour the plants in front of it. The Green Star is at the end, and you'll need to jump for it.
Where is the Stamp in World 6-1 Clear Pipe Cruise?
Immediately after passing through the Checkpoint Flag, head towards the one-way pipe on the top right, but don't go inside. Instead, jump on top of it and carefully walk along the pipe to find the Stamp sitting just above it. A Spin Jump is ideal, and Cat Mario makes getting the Stamp a whole lot easier.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 6-2: Spooky Seasick Wreck
You'll need expert platform skills to successfully navigate your way across this old shipwreck.

Green Star #2
You can see this Star from the roof, sitting inside of a pit. Grab a Propeller Box and dive into the pit to collect it, then make a quick escape. Lingering may get you killed.
Green Star #3
Once you reach the final corridor, avoid the Warp Box and head all the way down to find a gong. Hit it to produce a Mystery Box that transports you to a room containing the final Green Star. You'll need to defeat a Spike in order to get it.

Challenging, no?
Green Star #3

Tip: Having an ice skate makes this a lot easier.

Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 6-A: Prince Bully Blockade
As the title implies, this stage pits your character against Prince Bully, leader of the Bullies. You can't jump on his head right away or hit him with a Tail Attack. The goal is to lead him into one of the pipes along the walls. He'll pop out the other side flattened, and now's the time to jump on this guy to score a hit, of which, you'll need three. Beat him and get a Green Star for your trouble.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World 6-6: Bullet Bill Base

Green Star #3
You'll see this Star near the end of the course. Use the Ground Pound on the Mega ? Block to make a bridge.

How do I beat the boss in Bowser's Bob-omb Brigade?
Uh-oh, Boom Boom returns! Although it still takes three hits to the noggin to put him away, you'll find that he's learned some new moves. Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World Castle-3 - Red-Hot Run
This is by far one of the most difficult levels in Super Mario 3D World. You have 100 seconds to clear this Dash Panel-ridden course without the benefit of a Checkpoint Flag. Miss something? Guess what? Start over.
How do I find the Green Stars in Red-Hot Run?
Green Star #1
Early on, one of the paths splits into two. Head right for a Gold Ring (unrelated to the Star) and continue until the paths reconnect. When they split a second time, head right once more and watch out for two spiked rollers and a dangerous drop.
Tip: Look for a hidden box near the start of the course for a 1-Up.
Green Star #2
After exiting the three clear pipes, head towards the Green Star Ring and collect all the coins for the second Star.
Tip: Stay centered on the track to gather the Green Coins and avoid falling into the abyss.
Green Star #3
After nabbing the Stamp (see below), immediately turn right after landing the jump, then another sharp turn. This is going to be tough. You must now jump over gaps and avoid rotating spiked rollers. You got this, right?
Where is the Stamp in Red-Hot Run?
You'll find it near the end while running on a path made of Donut Blocks. Jump across the gap to get the Stamp.
Tip: A Sprixie House appears after completing this course. Head inside for yet another Stamp.

Green Star #3
Close to the rolling platforms near the end of the stage. Dodge the spikes!
Tip: In order to reach the end-level flagpole, you must defeat three Bullies to gain access to arrow platforms.
Where is the Stamp in Boiling Blue Bully Bell?
You'll find the Stamp just off the main path that you created with arrow platforms.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World Castle-A - Brolder Blockade Is Back
Boss Brolder is back, and this time, he brought some new friends. Say hello to the Splorch, a troublesome magma ball impervious to your attacks. In fact, there are two ways to get rid of them: trick them into the lava, or get Boss Brolder to accidentally crush them. Providing you keep this in mind, approach this fight as you did earlier in Super Mario 3D World. Throw those smaller rocks into him while avoiding his spinning attack. Put him away and claim the Green Star.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World Castle-B - Prince Bully Blockade Is Back
Prince Bully is back, and this time he has three fireballs that home in on your location. Thing is, the fight is the same as before. Get him close to one of the pipes so he gets sucked inside. When he pops out, go on the attack. Three hits and you win the Green Star!
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World Castle-C - Fire Bros. Hideout #4

Green Star #2
Once you reach the top of the tower, take out the three Magikoopas to receive the second Star.
Green Star #3
When you reach the Checkpoint Flag, you'll discover a locked Warp Box. You need to climb the second tower and go in search of Key Coins to open the box. The keys are easy enough to find. Between the third and the fourth are breakable blocks. Take care of the enemy in the way and break those blocks to uncover a hidden passageway that leads to the third Green Star.
Where is the Stamp in Trick Trap Tower?
Look for the Stamp on a cloud floating just above the first Green Star. You'll need Cat Mario to get it.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World Castle - Captain Toad Gets Thwomped
Poor Captain Toad! One wrong move and those Thwomps will crush him. That said, this step-by-step guide will lead him to safety, and the five Green Stars along the way.
Immediately walk towards the first Thwomp and head into the alcove behind it for Green Star #1.
To get Green Star #2, walk around the entire level avoiding Bill Blasters until you reach a passage to the right of where you originally started. Inside is a Thwomp that you'll need to ride up to get the Star. Now use another Thwomp to reach the next part of the tower.
Once you reach the top, run across the conveyor belt and avoid the two Bullet Bills to nab the third Star.
With that out of the way, run along the conveyor belt and wait for the Thwomp carrying the fourth Green Star. Collect it!
Now go through the tunnel towards the Thwomp that rises to the highest part of the course. Take it all the way to the top and wait for the Bullet Bill to fire. Follow the Bullet Bill projectile until you fall into a small gap next to the fifth Green Star.

Green Star #1
Destroy a row of wooden crates on the ground for this Green Star.
Tip: Use alcoves along walls to escape the Rammerheads, at least temporarily.
Green Star #2
While navigating through a narrow passageway, look for Rammerheads dragging items behind them. One of these critters has Green Star #2.
Green Star #3
Near the end, you'll see a clear pipe with spiked balls inside. Destroy them with Fireballs providing you have a Fire Flower. You can also get a Super Star close by and bust them up that way. Now you can get Green Star #3.
Where is the Stamp in Rammerhead Reef?
The Stamp is just before the goal post, in a room filled with those dangerous Rammerheads. Swim as quickly as possible to avoid enemies from below, and slip into this Star's alcove to collect it.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World Castle-7 - Simmering Lava Lake
The Lava Lake in this course is more than a pretty aesthetic. It rises and falls. When the ground starts to glow, move to higher ground. Also be on the lookout for geysers of lava.
Tip: It's a good idea to take the Cat Suit into this level. You can even pick up a Boomerang Suit early on. Keep both handy and switch between the two when necessary. The boomerang lets you get rid of pesky enemies, while the Cat Suit helps you climb faster and avoid the Lava Lake.
How do I find the Green Stars in Simmering Lava Lake?
Green Star #1
Seems easy enough to get, but hold it! Splorches appear on the platform next to this Star. You have two options. You can destroy these bad guys with the boomerang and capture the Star, or use the boomerang to get the Star yourself.
Tip: Peach is the ideal character to use in this level, thanks to her hovering ability.
Green Star #2
Activate the Green Star Ring and then use the boomerang (we hope you have it) to collect the coins.
Green Star #3
After getting the Stamp, look for a platform connected by walkways and lava geysers shooting into the air. Wait for the lava lake to recede and follow a side path to claim the third Green Star.
Tip: To reach the flagpole, you must trick the Charvaarghs leaping from the lava. Princess Peach is not fast enough to run full steam ahead.
Where is the Stamp in Simmering Lava Lake?
You'll see the Stamp underneath a grate. Wait for the lava to subside and quickly go after the Stamp.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World Castle-Castle: Bowser's Lava Lake Keep
After spending an untold number of hours stomping enemies, hoarding gold coins and finding all those Green Stars, this is it, the final confrontation with Bowser, right? Right? Uh, let's begin!
Tip: We suggest going with the Cat and Boomerang Power-Ups for this level. The Cat helps you climb, while the Boomerang takes out pesky bad guys. Knowing when to switch between the two is key.
How do I find the Green Stars in Bowser's Lava Lake Keep?
Green Star #1
Tough. Challenging. Anxiety-ridden. These words perfectly describe the effort needed to grab the first Star. You need to jump into the wall, just above the Star, then let yourself slide down to get it. As soon as you do, wall jump back to the original platform you came from. Hit the lava once and you lose a life.
Green Star #2
This is why we told you to have the Cat Power-Up handy. There's a fence/bridge that lowers into place once you hit a P Switch. Climb this before it lowers to get the Star.
Green Star #3
After dashing through a Fire Bro, bomb cannons and a Ka-thunk, you'll see the final Green Star. Can't reach it, right? Not true. The easiest way is to grab it with the Boomerang. If you don't have one, cross the narrow bridge into the next section and hit the ? Block to get one.
Where is the Stamp in Bowser's Lava Lake Keep?
There's a P Switch nearby, and you should leave it alone. The Stamp sits behind a breakable brick wall you can blow up with Kick Bombs. Use a wall jump to reach the newly discovered alcove until the Stamp is within reach.
How do I beat Bowser in Bowser's Lava Lake Keep?
Yes, the final battle! This is the end of the game, right?
Bowser rolls up in a sweet purple ride. In a sense, this battle is very similar to the one in World 1, with you chase after Mario's arch nemesis while the big lug throws Kick Bombs onto the makeshift road. Except this time, there are more pitfalls, along with spike traps and lava geysers.
While the basic goal of nailing Bowser with three direct hits remains the same, you'll quickly discover this fight is a huge pain. Some of the Kick Bombs explode sooner than others, and there are traps all over the place. Don't let the battle drag on for too long. Otherwise, you'll get transported to an even trickier section of the track with lava geysers.
Be patient. You'll eventually put Bowser in his place. Besides, now you're done. You successfully completed Super Mario 3D World. Now you can...you can...wait a minute! There's a whole lot more!
World 8: World Bowser
If you played Super Mario 3D Land for Nintendo 3DS, then you probably knew this was happening. Turns out, Super Mario 3D World contains five bonus worlds overflowing with new levels to complete! Now that's what we call value.
On that note, let's go!
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World Bowser-1: Spiky Spike Bridge

Tip: Use the Cat Power-Up for this course and thank us later.
How do I find the Green Stars in Spiky Spike Bridge?
Green Star #1
Head through the level's first Warp Box, then carefully make your way across the spiked bridge while avoiding the one Fire Bro. You'll see the Green Star sitting atop a pillar, and will need the Cat Power-Up (we told you) to grab it.
Green Star #2
You'll eventually come to a sign pointing in the direction of a spiked bridge. There's a Fire Bro guarding a Mystery Box. Once inside the bonus room, press the P Switch to make the Green Star appear, then quickly grab that sucker in 10 seconds or less.
Green Star #3
Taking a Warp Box will put you on a large platform with Parabones. Head left to find Donut Blocks bridged by a moving spiked platform. Wait until it's in place, then run like mad to nab the final Star.
Where is the Stamp in Spiky Spike Bridge?
Go through the Checkpoint Flag and take the Warp Box. See the arrow sign? Go in the opposite direction to find the Stamp.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World Bowser-2: Plessie's Dune Downhill
Plessie the dinosaur is back and ready to go on a long ride. No water here. Instead, it's a crazy dash across a danger-filled sand dune.
Tip: Unlike World 1-4, you can score all the collectibles in this level in one attempt. Just remember to tilt back on the left analog stick or down on the d-pad to decrease your speed. It makes grabbing everything a lot easier.
How do I find the Green Stars in Plessie's Dune Downhill?
Green Star #1
You'll see the first Green Star almost immediately. Use the Splounders on the ground to launch yourself into the air. The higher you are, the easier getting the Star will be.
Green Star #2
Shortly after collecting Green Star #1, you and Plessie will fall onto an S-shaped piece of track with gold coins in the center. Use the Dash Panels to pick up speed and grab Green Star #2 from the group of Para-Biddybuds.
Tip: There are no guardrails in this level, so do your best to maintain a straight course.
Green Star #3
Wait until you see one Bowser sand statue and quickly smash through it to make the third Green Star appear on another section of track. It sits between two Dash Panels.
Tip: You don't have much time to destroy that sand statue. Stay frosty and alert!
Where is the Stamp in Plessie's Dune Downhill?
Wait until you see the two Bowser sand statues and go in between them to discover a cloud bridge that will take you right to the Stamp.
Tip: Reaching the top of the Goal Pole in this level is especially tricky. The bumpy hill leading to it makes this difficult. Aim for the line of gold coins for 100 percent completion.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World Bowser-3: Cookie Cogworks
This is one of the few levels in Super Mario 3D World that makes us hungry. Check out all those cookies! Nom nom nom.
Near the beginning, look for two Spiny Skipsqueaks standing on a cookie cog. You can fall safely to the ground below. Avoid the huge Piranha Plant and hit the ? Block to receive the Boomerang Flower. Keep this handy throughout the level.
Tip: Cookie platforms move at different speeds, and it's easy to fly off into a pit. Always know which a direction a cookie rotates before landing on one.
How do I find the Green Stars in Cookie Cogworks?
Green Star #1
There's a cog next to a mega Piranha Plant. Climb it to reach another cog and make note of the Green Star's location, to the right of some gold coins. You can grab it one of three ways: with the Boomerang, a long jump or using the Cat Power-Up.
Green Star #2
You'll see a ledge patrolled by two rows of Ant Troopers. Beneath this ledge is a Mystery Box. Go inside it to reach the hidden area, then run like crazy along a rolling platform filled with enemies to get Green Star #2. You only have 10 seconds to do this.
Tip: Once you reach the Checkpoint Flag, walk up to the Sprixie to get a much better view of the level, or rather, the gigantic wall of cogs that lies before you. There are two Piranha Plants at the top. Make sure you're ready to avoid them.
Green Star #3
Take the long Clear Pipe towards the goal pole and you'll see an island in the distance. How do you reach it? Take a long jump just behind the pipe to land on this island. Then capture the rabbit to receive the Star. Don't worry, the green pipe will take you to the Goal Pole.
Tip: Beat Cookie Cogworks to unlock a special train bonus level that will appear next to it on the World Map.
Where is the Stamp in Cookie Cogworks?
Please refer to the tip beneath Green Star #2. Remember those two Mega Piranha Plants at the top of the wall? Take the Clear Pipe and look for the Stamp. Use the Boomerang to get rid of the Ants blocking the way, then fall into it. If you don't have the Boomerang, jump of the ledge and steer your character into the Stamp's location.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World Bowser: The Bowser Express
Someone needs to tell Bowser his days of being a train conductor are over. We'll leave that to you.
How do I find the Green Stars in The Bowser Express?
Green Star #1
It's literally on top of the first train car you come across. Get it now.
Green Star #2
You must touch the Green Star Ring and quickly gather the coins scattered about. Beware the spiked pendulum.
Tip: It's important to activate the Green Star Ring early so you have enough time to get all the coins in this scrolling level. Go too far off the screen and you lose a life.
Green Star #3
When you reach the front of the train, you'll see a Hammer Bro guarding the green pipe leading to the boss. Beneath him is a passage with a Fire Bro. Defeat him to get the final Star.
Where is the Stamp in The Bowser Express?
The Stamp sits atop a tall train car, and there are three ways to get it. You can climb up the side of the car using the Cat Power-Up, bounce off the Ant Troopers or go inside the car to ground pound a ? Block, whereupon which the block tower will take you directly upwards and into the Stamp.
How do I beat Pom Pom?
Ah yes, Pom Pom, the ninja-star throwing creep. She spawns more Shadow Clones this time around, and you'll need to hit her and only her three times. Thankfully, the pink ninja star gives her away.
Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World Bowser-4: Footlight Lane
Invisible bridges. That's what this course is all about. Don't get intimidated by the seemingly huge gaps between platforms. Walking on these invisible bridges or having a Thwomp smash the ground lights them up. With this in mind, step with confidence, for the most part.
How do I find the Green Stars in Footlight Lane?
Green Star #1
No invisible bridge here. You'll see the Star beyond some Parabones, but you must jump over the abyss to reach it.
Green Star #2
Activate the Green Star Ring and gather all those coins while avoiding spiked rollers.
Tip: A Ground Pound can temporarily reveal huge sections at once.

Green Star #3

Super Mario 3D World: How to Beat World Bowser-B: Hisstocrat Returns
How do I beat Hisstocrat in World Bowser-B?
What? This snake again? Technically, you use the same plan of attack as before. Climb atop one of the smaller snakes and then dive bomb Hisstocrat three times. This fight, however, plays out bit differently. Hisstocrat and his helper snakes are quicker overall. Beyond that, lava falls from the sky when Hisstocrate bursts from the ground. He also shoots fireballs at the snakes you hitch a ride on, so you'll need to move much quicker than before. Win, and you receive a Green Star.

Take a gondola after collecting the second Star and Bowser appears, with Super Bell in hand. What does he do with it? Why, turn into Meowser of course! Yes, Meowser.
After transforming, Bowser begins to climb a wall, and you head after him via the cloud platforms on the right. The camera scrolls automatically, so don't miss your jumps.
Because he's a jerk, Meowser slides down the side of the building and destroys platforms; look for debris falling from the top of the screen to know where he's about to drop down from. At least on the positive side, platforms eventually come back.
Next, Meowser takes a break from climbing to stand on a platform with a POW Block. Break to launch the big guy into orbit, then take the pipe to the next part of the battle. There's a + Clock nearby if you need more time.
As you ride through the pipe, multiple Meowsers appear. Thankfully, the Checkpoint Flag is nearby. Yes, you won't have to restart the entire board if your character dies.
During the second climb, keep a close eye on a crack in the wall. Get too close and a Meowser appears and takes a few claw swipes. Meanwhile, another Meowser comes in from the bottom right and takes out a platform. Let him pass before proceeding.
Now you're climbing a set of platforms with two Meowsers giving chase from below. Speed is key. No time to take in the sights.
Once you reach the top, you'll see Meowser standing on a Super POW Block. Hit it four times to defeat him while evading fireballs. Now you can take the pipe to the Goal Pole! Victory!

Green Star #3
The final portion of this level consists of a long bridge made entirely of Donut Blocks. As you quickly zip across these unstable platforms, look for Donut Blocks leading upwards. Make the detour to locate the last Green Star.
Where is the Stamp in The Great Goal Pole?
A Walleye guards this Stamp. Since the Goal Pole continues to make a run for it, you don't have much time to mess with the Walleye, so do your best to ignore it and get that Stamp.

Tip: The Super Bell, Tanooki Suit and Rosalie's Spin Attack make doing this easier.
Green Star #3
Once you're back on the Switchboard, it's time to make an attempt at the third Green Star. Once you see it, head in its direction and use the Cannon Box to blast it.
Tip: If you don't have the Cat Power-Up, prepare to bounce off cannonballs to reach the top of the Goal Pole.

Tip: Make sure you have at least 35 seconds or more on the clock before you venture down the lower path.

The second Green Star isn't too far from the first. Make your way up to the small platform that sits next to the Goomba tower and grab it.
Tip: After you grab the Star, you'll need to wipe out the Goomba tower as quickly as possible to move along. Use any Power-Ups you have on hand.
Green Star #3
Once you clear the Goomba Tower, take the passage underneath it and then climb your way back up to get the third one.
Tip: Remember, all the Goombas need to be wiped out to obtain the Warp Box to get out of the room. Whittle the number down to four or five, then use a Ground Pound to take out the rest.
Super Mario 3D World: World Mushroom-5: How to Beat Back To Hands-On Hall
Note: the Gamepad is required to beat this level.
This stage will ask you to provide some dexterity, as you'll deal with Fire Bros., Boomerang Bros and Hammer Bros., all while opening slide panels and activating gongs.
Tip: This is another stage where you'll need to collect Key Coins. Do some exploring around the upper areas of the stage, and keep an eye out for hidden rooms that could hide gongs. You can easily hit them with baseballs thrown by enemies.
How do I get the Green Stars in Back to Hands-On Hall?
Green Star #1
The first Green Star is located in a pipe. However, it's inaccessible due to a spike ball sitting in your way. Simply get a baseball from a nearby enemy and hurl it into the pipe. The spike ball will get knocked out of the way, and you can get the star.
Tip: Don't take a chance with dodging an incoming baseball. Just use your block ability and it'll fall to the ground.
Green Star #2
Right next to the Checkpoint Flag will be a Green Star Ring. Two of the coins will be in the large pit, so you'll need a Propeller Box to effectively reach them and get out.
Tip: Watch out for Flopters! If they hit you, they can easily knock you into the abyss and cost you a life.
Green Star #3
It helps to have the Propeller Box; simply work your way to the higher point of the room. Deal with the two Hammer Bros. that are nearby and enter the box. You'll warp into a room with lots of coins and the third Star.
Tip: The coin is still reachable if you don't have the Propeller Box. You have to cross a number of cloud platforms to get there.
Super Mario 3D World: World Mushroom-6: How to Beat Gigantic Seaside Wreck
This isn't a leisure cruise, as you'll have to deal with Bullies, Ty-foos and other dangerous enemies.
Tip: Keep an eye open for Mega Mushrooms. They can help you clear the stage with ease.
How do I get the Green Stars in Gigantic Seaside Wreck?
Green Star #1
You'll see plenty of green coins once you begin the stage. Make sure you collect them all while you can, but watch out for enemies like the Octoomba and the spiked roller.
Tip: Be careful around Ty-Foos. They can easily blow you off the deck of the ship.
Green Star #2
Once you spot the Warp Box, hold off on jumping into it, and instead walk along the narrow walkway. The Green Star will be waiting at the end.
Tip: An Octoomba is on the walkway, so make sure you deal with it first before getting the Star.
Green Star #3
The final Star is located on a the right side of walkways near the Warp Box at the end of the stage. However, it's high enough that the only way to reach it is with the help of a Mega Mushroom. Pick one up and run over to get it before the effects run off – but don't fall in!
Tip: Watch out for Ty-foos and Octoombas that get in your way. A well-placed ground pound should take them out.
Super Mario 3D World: World Mushroom-7: How to Beat Broken Blue Bully Belt
One of the more difficult stages in the game, Broken Blue Bully Belt requires you to battle enemies while dealing with flowing blue lava.
Tip: Make sure to have a Super Leaf on hand. The extra distance will come in handy, especially when it comes to clearing gaps later in the stage.
How do I get the Green Stars in Broken Blue Bully Belt?
Green Star #1
This one will require some memorization, as you'll need to time your jumps between rising and falling platforms that go into the blue lava. You have several seconds in which to do it, so make the most of your time and jump to the Star as it rises from the blue lava.
Tip: Once you grab the Star, work your way back as quickly as possible – but don't forget to time your jumps!
Green Star #2
One of the hardest-to-obtain Stars in the game, you can reach this one by making your way to the center of the first spiked roller obstacle, then jumping over to the second. It may take a couple of tries, but once you get there, the Star is yours.
Tip: Timing is everything when it comes to getting to this star. Make sure you set your jump perfectly before you take it. You'll have time in this stage, so use it well.
Green Star #3
Make sure you have the Tanooki Power-Up for this one. Run past the pipe at the end of the stage and jump over the blue lava to reach the final Green Star, located on a platform.

Green Star #7
Fizzlits enter the room, and you'll need to simply destroy them to clear it.
Tip: Fizzlits will cause you harm if they've got electricity turned on. Time your hits well!
Green Star #8
In this room, a trio of Magikoopas will try to make your life miserable. Quickly dispatch them before they disappear from the room and cost you the Star. Watch for their magic attacks!
