Broken Age: Act 2 has been fully funded, says Schafer
Broken Age: Act 2 has been fully funded, according to Double Fine boss Tim Schafer.
Speaking with GI International, Schafer said the team's plan to split the game into two parts to fund final development paid-off in the end.
"We've made enough that we can make the second half of the game for sure," he said. "And we're not done making it to all the platforms because we haven't released it on iPad yet.
"I feel that's going to be a really interesting platform for adventure games. It's such a fun place to play point-and-click graphic adventures, and so many people have them. That's exciting to me."
In January it was announced Broken Age would no longer be released through Steam Early Access as planned "for various logistical reasons." Double Fine opted instead to release Act 1 as a standard Steam release with a Season Pass granting access to Act 2 upon completion.
Act 1 of Broken Age was released on January 28 for PC, Mac and Linux through Steam.
Act 2, the conclusion of Broken Age, will ship later this year and is also in development for Android, iOS and Ouya.
