ZX Spectrum turns 30, BBC reunites two of its main faces
ZX Spectrum turns 30 today. The machine launched on April 23, 1982 in the UK for £125 for the basic model or £175 for the 48k model. Creator Sir Clive Sinclair soon sold the Sinclair Research busisness - and with it, the Spectrum branding - to Sir Alan Sugar's Amstad in 1986 for £5 million. To celebrate the occasion, the BBC's reunited two of the machine's figureheads: engineer Richard Altwasser and designer Rick Dickinson for an interview. Get it here.
