Madman recreates Zelda: Breath of the Wild shrine in Labo
Imagine the patience you'd need to have to create something this complex in Labo.
Toy-Con Garage VR, a piece of software that comes with the Nintendo Labo VR Kit, is essentially a programming tool that lets players create simple games. The games can then be played in VR, or in standard 2D modes.
The tool is very crude, however, and doesn't have the range of, say, Dreams. Which is what makes this creation by @Green_Squid all the more impressive. Green_Squid recreated the first shrine seen in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild using Labo.
Their video below not only shows the final product, but also the scripting logic behind it. Obviously, some of the mechanics are missing, but this is a pretty close approximation of the game, especially given the limited toolset.
The script window also makes it look incredibly complex, which is to be expected. Sadly, Green_Squid's creation cannot be shared online so others can explore it, unlike in something like Dreams or even Nintendo's own Super Mario Maker.
