YuGiOh Master Duel card crafting guide - How to get CP and craft cards

You crafty thing, you

Getting the hang of the YuGiOh Master Duel card crafting system is essential if you want greater control over your deck building.

You can craft nearly any card, but it comes at a cost – and that cost is usually other cards in your deck.

How does YuGiOh Master Duel card crafting work?

Crafting cards requires resource points in the category of the card you want to make. In other words, if you want an Orca Mega-Fortress of Darkness, you need 30 R points, while Ultra Rare and Super Rare crafting requires UR and SR points, respectively.

Getting these points is straightforward: you have to dismantle existing cards.

The dismantle tutorial is rather skimpy and just tells you the dismantle option exists. Here’s what you need to do.

Enter the Deck menu, and pick the deck you want to work with. It doesn’t matter which deck you pick, as the card panel to the right shows every card you own anyway. Pick a card you don’t want or can live without, then choose the Dismantle icon in the bottom left of the card view frame.

You’ll see a preview showing how many craft points you’ll get and of what type and be asked to verify this is what you want to do. Agree, and you’ll lose the card, but gain some craft points.

The Duel Pass, which you can buy for a few hundred Gems, gives you craft points as you level it up. You can also get points by completing some missions, though obviously, it’s not a consistent way to get them.

Crafting cards is also straightforward, though Master Duel doesn’t actually tell you how to do it. The deck menu’s card pane has every available card in the game, along with filter and search options to find the ones you’re looking for.

Select the card you want, and you’ll find the craft option – called “Generate” – in blue next to the Dismantle option, along with how many points you need for it. There’s no limit on which cards or how many you can craft, so you’re free to craft what you want as long as you have the points for it.

Unlike in real life, you can use the same card across multiple decks in Duel Master, so you won't need to craft duplicates unless you just want more than one in a given deck.

If you run low on spare cards in YuGiOh Duel Master, chuck some Gems at the special bundles to get dozens of cards and earn a chance to get secret packs. Whatever cards you end up with, it'll be more than enough to leave your starter deck behind. Just make sure to enable cross save so you don't have to edit decks across platforms.
