You'll get Tales from the Borderlands and Abzu in May's PS Plus haul, which makes it one of the better months so far this year
PlayStation Plus members get a couple of pretty good free games with their online service subscription this month.
May's PS Plus offer includes Instant Collection copies of Tales from the Borderlands and Abzu.
These are both pretty good games. Abzu is a lot like Journey, and in fact made by some of the same people, but this beautiful underwater adventure continues to explore and evolve the genre rather than just cloning the formula.
Meanwhile, Tales from the Borderlands is my favourite Telltale offering ever. If you like Borderlands there's a lot of extra value here, as Telltale does a much better job of storytelling within this universe than Gearbox has (by its own admission, even), and if you don't like Borderlands this new perspective may go some way towards changing your mind, as it provides a better inroad to an under-leveraged setting.
Personally, I think Abzu and Tales from the Borderlands together represent a pretty good month; it's just a pity I already own them both. May might just be the best PS Plus lineup of the year so far, although January gave us Day of the Tentacle Remastered and This War of Mine: The Little Ones, and March had the excellent Teraway Unfolded.
Here's May's full PS Plus line up:

- Abzu, PS4
- Blood Knights, PS3
- Port Royale 3: Pirates and Merchants, PS3
