You won't be able to participate in the Gwent: The Witcher Card Game closed beta until October
CD Projekt RED has pushed the closed beta for its Witcher card game into October.
Originally slated for testing in September, the developer announced today it needed more time to ready Gwent: The Witcher Card Game for closed beta.
"At E3 we announced that we’d launch the Closed Beta of Gwent: The Witcher Card Game in September," said CDP. "Unfortunately, we feel we need some extra time with the game before we hand it off to you for testing.
"We know we can make a first impression only once, and want to be sure everything is ready before we blast off. Delivering a good game is more important to us than keeping a deadline. Still, that doesn’t mean we don’t realize that delays can be disappointing, and we apologize for making you wait."
A standalone digital version of The Witcher 3 card game will feature ten hour-long single-player campaigns. Each will feature its own storyline, lead character, and voice acting. The game features multiplayer support for online matches.
Since the closed beta slated for September 26 has been delayed, this give you more time in which to toss your name in the testing hat.
The closed beta for Gwent:The Witcher Card Game will now begin on October 25.
When released, it will be made available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
