You can use diplomacy in Nobunaga's Ambition if you're some kind of wuss
If Oda Nobunaga ever intended to sit around having a tea party with his enemies this is the first I've heard of it.
Nobunaga's Ambition: Sphere of Influence will apparently contain a wealth of diplomatic options. Not that any of us will ever see them: if we're going to unite Warring States Japan under a single warlord it's not gonna be through heart-to-heart chats and handholding.
I'm kidding, of course; Nobunaga was an excellent diplomat and his shrewd charisma won him many allies. He should probably have elected not to utilise that particular skill set on Akechi Mitsuhide and maybe just chopped his head off. We (don't) live and learn.
Anyway here's a trailer all about diplomacy, which you will need to employ if your ambition is to survive the Incident at Honno-ji, and also includes fun stuff like spies and assassinations. Nobunaga's Ambition: Sphere of Influence hits PC, PlayStation 3 and PS4 in Europe and beyond on September 4.
