You can play PUBG on Xbox One now if you're willing to do this trick
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds servers have only officially gone live in certain parts of the world, but the majority go live later today or tomorrow morning.
While you certainly can download PUBG if you pre-ordered through the store, you won't be able to launch it ahead of time. However, there's a way to bypass this restriction and play right now.
To do this, you'll need to have bought a key from somewhere else other than the official store through your Xbox. Some websites like cdkeys, which typically sell PC game keys, also offer PUBG Xbox One codes, which, upon activation, let you join servers instantly.
You'll just need to have your Xbox One set as your Home (primary) Xbox. It seems these keys operate on a different schedule than the one the rest of the launch follows. Be warned, however, that servers could go down any moment without warning for maintenance, since the game is technically not out yet.
It's a bit like getting early a retail copy of Call of Duty every year, only there's no physical version needed here.
If you'd rather wait, you can see exactly when PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will release on Xbox One in your region. While you wait, why not also get acquainted with the control setup on Xbox One.
Trust us, you're not prepared for how dense they are.
