Mario's dino pal gets his moment in the limelight as Yoshi's Crafted World on Nintendo Switch debuts at No.1 in the UK - a first for the character's series of games.

Yoshi's Crafted World cuts down Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, which drops to No.3 in the UK charts, while Tom Clancy's The Division 2 holds fast at No.2.

We called the new Yoshi game the "most gleefully fun Yoshi adventure since the N64’s Yoshi’s Story," in our review - courtesy of Alex, although he didn't think it quite lived up to Yoshi's Island.

GamesIndustry.biz reports that Yoshi's Crafted World only just pipped The Division 2 to the post for the top of the charts, with just 63 units more sold than the Ubisoft title.

Sales of The Division 2 are down 51% from last week, while Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice's sales saw a drop of 65%.

If you haven't picked up Sekiro yet, why not watch us torture Simon Miller, who hates the Souls series and Bloodborne, by making him play FromSoft's latest title. So you can imagine how much fun he had. Lots.

New entries in the top 10 this week includes the Assassin's Creed 3 remaster, while Skybound's The Walking Dead: The Final Season debuts at No.23.
