Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles heads to PC and PS4 next year and it looks delightful
Is has a distinct Wind Waker vibe.
Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles is a charming open-world adventure game due for release next year.
Set on a huge island with eight biomes that have their own seasons and day/ night cycle, Yonder's hero will have to explore the idyllic paradise to root out the evil "murk" lurking there.
Your character is customsable by the sounds of things, but it's not clear whether the options are limited to choosing between a preset male and female avatar.
Another puzzler is combat. The trailer doesn't feature any and the only object being carried around is a lantern.
"The hero of Yonder will explore the island, uncovering its secrets and the mysteries within them self as they embarks on a journey of self-discovery, while saving Gemea and its people. On the quest to become the island’s champion, he or she will join forces with natives and Sprites, ethereal creatures whom are the only thing capable of dispersing the murk."
Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles has a release window of Q2 2017 for PC and PS4.
