A Yakuza: Like a Dragon demo is in the works
Sega has announced that the upcoming Yakuza: Like a Dragon is getting a demo.
In the latest issue of Japanese magazine Famitsu (via Gematsu), Yakuza: Like a Dragon producer Masayoshi Yokoyama confirmed that the game will indeed be getting a demo ahead of launch.
Though he wouldn't reveal too many details, Yokoyama said content in the demo will be different form the one shown to attendees at TGS a couple of months ago. It's not yet clear if the same demo will make its way Westward when/after it releases in Japan.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon (known as Yakuza 7 in Japan) launches in January in the country, and later in 2020 in the West. It's likely the demo will be localised ahead of the Western version's launch.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon, in case you missed it, brings entirely new mechanics to the series, with a turn-based combat system for the first time ever. So far, the switch from Yakuza's trademark brawler action combat has been polarising, but the team knew this would be a risk.
