How do you get the secret characters in Yakuza 6’s Clan Creator mode? Step right up for the codes.

Yakuza 6 is finally launching in the UK on April 17. That means you don't have long to wait before you can stamp on someone’s face with a shiny loafer. At least in a video game.

There is a lot to stick the boot into in Yakuza 6. Whether you want to hammer its strange and wonderful sidequests, spend all your time in the arcade, or do a bit of karaoke - every inch of Tokyo is stuffed with things to do.

One of the new minigames is called Clan Creator. It allows you to create your own gang of misfits and fight it out with rival gangs across the streets of Kamurocho.

It works kind of like a real-time strategy game. You build up a team, send in units, and activate abilities. The AI controls the actual fighting. You are just a godlike overseer.

To make these battles easier, you can recruit powerful characters you meet in the world. But outside of that, there are also a range of characters that can only be recruited by entering the right codes.
