XCOM's best modders hired by Firaxis to work on XCOM 2

The developer of XCOM's most popular mod, The Long War, have been officially invited to work on XCOM 2 by Firaxis.
We don't have a lot of details on this one, but Firaxis have confirmed that the mod team will be working on "multiple mods" that will be shipped with the game at launch.
Given that The Long War is most famous for making XCOM even harder than it was intended to be, it's a safe bet that whatever the team are working on is going to please hardcore players.
Firaxis have previously committed to embracing mods for XCOM 2, and the game is of course a PC exclusive so the audience there will be right at home.
