There are still a handful of months to go until the launch of the next generation of consoles, and Xbox is using each one to announce more about the upcoming Xbox Series X console. In a blog post today, Xbox outlined the digital news run-up to the Series X launch, including more first-party game news coming this July.

To start, Microsoft reiterates that both Xbox Series X and Halo Infinite are set to launch this coming holiday season. All 15 Xbox Game Studios are also working on their own next-gen games for Series X. At least some of these projects will be revealed in a July Xbox 20/20 show.

Every month starting with this week's Inside Xbox stream, Microsoft says it will be showcasing "what happens next in the world of Xbox" through streams called Xbox 20/20. These are set to run throughout the rest of the year to show what's coming for Xbox Series X, as well as Game Pass and Project xCloud. While this week's update will focus on third-party partners and indie developers, the July segment will focus on Xbox Game Studios projects.

We've already seen a lot of technical info about what's inside the Xbox Series X, but comparatively few games have been revealed. Halo Infinite, Hellblade 2: Senua's Saga, and the upcoming Assassin's Creed Valhalla are among those making their way to the console, but with 15 Xbox Game Studios hard at work on new projects, there's likely to be more on the way.

Since the summer gaming season has grown to four months of news, it seems like the announcements will be more spread out and scattered than concentrated on a single week this year. Look forward to more about next-gen and Xbox Series X every month until launch.
