Xbox Series X on track to launch this November
Xbox Series X is on track to launch this fall, according to Microsoft, and the company's CFO has apparently confirmed a November launch.
During its Q4 FY20 call to investors yesterday evening, Microsoft CFO Amy Hood confirmed Xbox Series X was still on track to launch this fall.
"Xbox Series X will launch this fall with the largest launch lineup for any console ever," said Hood.
Going further, when asked by Bloomberg's Diana Bass on the call whether it would arrive in November, Hood said "yes" (via GamesRadar).
A November release date isn't a surprise, considering Microsoft has said previously the console would release during the "holidays." But it's nice to have confirmation.
The original Xbox launched on November 15, Xbox 360 hit shelves on November 22, and Xbox One also released on November 22.
Furthermore, the internet is in a bit of tizzy as Xbox Series X launch title Yakuza: Like Dragon is set to release on November 13, according to a Microsoft Store leak. While that could indeed be the date Xbox Series X launches, it's best to quell expectations just in case because the game is also coming to PC and current-gen consoles.
We'll know for sure when the new Xbox console launches when Microsoft announces it. Unless the date leaks first, obviously.
