Xbox One system update to add storage management, controller battery monitor next week
The Xbox One operating system had some peculiar quirks out of the box, and a system update that will propagate on February 11 will fix some of them.
In particular, it will allow users to see how much storage space they're using on the console's internal hard drive. It will also introduce a battery indicator for the controller, and compatibility with USB keyboards. Screenshot of the build below:
On March 4 an additional system update will revamp the console's party system in preparation for the launch of Titanfall later that month.
"This is the first of many announcements and sneak peeks at features in the system updates. We’ve been carefully listening to your feedback and look forward to delivering many new features that will make Xbox One even better," said Microsoft. "We’re just getting started and can’t wait to share more information in the coming weeks."
