Xbox One gets new firmware today

Microsoft has released a new firmware update for Xbox One.
It's been a quiet few months at Microsoft camp when it comes adding new features to the Xbox One's OS. This month is not too different, unfortunately.
Major Nelson announced the new update with a short message. The reason is because it doesn't bring any new user-facing features, only behind-the-scenes work.
Mianly, it further prepares the console for game streaming, which launches with Windows 10 this month. It also prepares the console for the backwards compatibility feature.
Major Nelson adds that the Xbox team is focused on the upcoming UI overhaul, which is due in the fall.
