Xbox One: BBC iPlayer app being worked on now, won't release at launch

Xbox One will launch without the BBC's iPlayer app. The on-demand service was notably absent from Microsoft's list of launch-window apps release last week.

Now, speaking with Digital Spy, a BBC spokesperson said, "BBC iPlayer is already available to audiences on over 1,000 devices and platforms in the UK. While we are working to bring BBC iPlayer to Xbox One in the future, we have no further details to share at this time."
Microsoft has announced it will reveal more entertainment partners for Xbox One in due course.
Xbox One launches in several territories November 22.
