Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft's all-you-can-eat game subscription service, is growing.

In line with Microsoft's promise to deliver at least five new games to Xbox Game Pass every month, the July update brings us seven titles. Here they are:

  • Dead Island Definitive Edition (Xbox One)
  • F1 2015 (Xbox One)
  • The Flame in the Flood (Xbox One)
  • Guacamelee: Super Turbo Championship Edition (Xbox One)
  • Bard's Gold (Xbox One)
  • Resident Evil 6 (Xbox 360)
  • Monaco: What's Yours is Mine (Xbox 360)

The heavyweight titles, Dead Island and Resident Evil 6, shouldn't need any introduction. Bit of a zombie theme going on there; I wonder if it's intentional? The other big one is F1 2015, which will please racing fans.

There are a couple of great indies in there, too. Monaco: What's Yours is Mine is a fantastic co-op stealth game. The Flame in the Flood is a sort of procedural rogue-like post-apocalyptic survival game where you travel a river, and comes to us from some former BioShock developers. Guacamelee: Super Turbo Championship Edition is a very-well received action platformer from Drinkbox. I had to Google Bard's Gold so you're on your own there; they can't all be critical darlings, can they.

The seven new games arrive on July 1, and join a substantial list of Xbox Game Pass titles. Microsoft has said that game will eventually be cycled out, but none of the original batch will leave before November, to give you an idea of how long you can expect them to hang around.

Xbox Game Pass costs $10/£8/€10 and does not require a Xbox Live Gold subscription, although you will require one if you want to play these games in multiplayer.
