WW2 shooter Battalion 1944 hits Steam Early Access next month
The anticipated indie WW2 shooter, Battalion 1944, has finally been given a proper release date.
Just before the end of the year, Battalion 1944 developer Bulkhead revealed that the game had been pushed to 2018, and reduced its price.
Today, Bulkhead and Square Enix Collective have announced that Battalion 1944 will be available on Steam Early Access beginning February 1. To celebrate, the developer released a new trailer with a fresh look at gameplay.
Prior the big day in February, Battalion 1944 will host a closed beta from January 19 to January 21. All backers are guaranteed access, but everyone else can sign up for an invite at the official beta page. There's no NDA on this particular beta, but invites are not guaranteed.
The Early Access version will launch with six modes, though Bulkhead has yet to reveal what they are. The developer did confirm, however, that these will include domination on the Manorhouse V1 map, and the competitive Wartide mode on the map Liberation.
Both of these maps and modes will make up the beta's content. Battalion 1944 is priced $15/£12/€15.
