WoW: Cataclysm confirmed for December 7
Activision's just confirmed a December 7 launch date for World of Warcraft: Cataclysm.
The MMO's latest expansion will also be sold at the Blizzard Store as a digital download.
A Collector's Edition will also be released for $79.99. Nothing was announced as to what the CE will contain.
"Cataclysm includes the best content we've ever created for World of Warcraft. It's not just an expansion, but a re-creation of much of the original Azeroth, complete with epic new high-level adventures for current players and a redesigned leveling experience for those just starting out," said Blizzard boss Mike Morhaime.
"With the help of our beta testers, we're putting on the final polish, and we look forward to welcoming gamers around the world to enjoy it in just a couple of months."
There was a worry the expansion might not make 2010 at all, despite Blizzard insisting previously it would, with retail listings suggesting a January 2011 release.
WoW's previous expansions include The Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King.
Cataclysm will see a level-cap increase to 85, with two new races also introduced - the goblins and the worgen - as well as much new content.
