World of Assassination and Unravel trademarks from Square and EA outed
Sony's The Last Guardian trademark may not have been much of surprise considering the game has been in development for ages, but two other trademarks which have also popped up are rather interesting.
One of these is a trademark from Square Enix found by NeoGAF called: World of Assassination.
Just the word "assassin" in the title calls to mind Hitman, so this could possibly be a new mobile title in the franchise or possibly something pertaining to the next entry in the series.
Back in January, developer IO Interactive said it would reveal its Hitman game for PS4 and Xbox One sometime during 2015. The last title in the series was 2012's Hitman: Absolution not counting the mobile title Hitman GO.
The firm also filed a trademark for Puzzle Soccer the same day.
The second trademark belongs to EA for something called Unravel. We have no idea what it could be, but it was filed on March 17, the same day as the Square Enix trademark.
Both World of Assassination and Unravel were filed under articles 9 and 41 which pertain to "Computer game software; downloadable computer game software via a global computer network and wireless devices; video game software," with the addition of article 16 for printed materials om World of Assassination.
Thanks, Gematsu.
