Netflix' Witcher casts Tristan Ruggeri as tiny Geralt
Tristan Ruggeri has been cast as the smallest Witcher-to-be in the land.
As Netflix' Witcher approaches, we've been getting more and more info on Geralt's adventures. It now seems Henry Cavill won't be the only actor bringing Geralt's grim visage to the small screen. Fans like Netflix Witcher fansite Redanian Intelligence have discovered a new name on the show's IMDB page. Tristan Ruggeri will take on the role of Young Geralt of Rivia.
This will be Ruggeri's first acting credit, popping up in episode three of The Witcher's initial run. We'd wager there'll be a flashback sequence giving us a closer look at Geralt's elusive origins. You know, long before he became a grey-haired monster-slaying sex-machine.
We might even get a grim look at the Trial of the Grasses, the kid-drugging ceremony to create cat-eyed murder machines. A normal thing to do, really.
The first trailer dropped at San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year. Despite early scoffing over Cavill's Geralt, it looks like he's managed to effortlessly capture our grumpy slayer - from his reluctant socialising to his post-Soviet mercenary heroics.
The Witcher hits Netflix later this year.
