Wiseau would "absolutely" direct a movie based on a game

Tommy Wiseau, he which wrote, produced, directed and starred in the cult classic film The Room, has said he would have no problem whatsoever with directing a movie based on a video game.

Speaking with D'toid in its latest podcast, Wiseau said there are plenty of technical and artistic properties to games which could transfer well onto the silver screen.

"Sure, this is the thing, you have to be open-minded," he said. "Entertainment's changing, constantly. As you guys know ... from 35mm, to HD, to 'Super-HD' [as] I'm calling it right now. Yes, absolutely you can create a movie based on a game, based on the animation, I mean you can go [to] infinity.

"You have to be open-minded. Absolutely, the answer's yes, sure."

Wiseau is of the belief that games are "not just violence," and provide the player with "excitement" to the human brain - he studies psychology as a hobby you know - and also believes in the educational value of games, going so far to say: "everyone should play a game."
