Wii U price shaved by £50 at ASDA

Wii U premium and standard consoles have been reduced at UK retailer ASDA, which has knocked £50 off the asking price. Will the discount be enough to see you buy one?
MCV reports that ASDA cut the price of the premium black Wii U console to £249.99, including a copy of Nintendo Land. The standard 8GB edition has also been reduced down to £199.99. The site adds that ShopTo has also slashed the 8GB model to under £200.
Wii U software has failed to dent the UK top 20 since the console launched in November, a fact that has cast doubt on the format's ability to tussle with the PS4 and Xbox 720, which now loom on the horizon.
