Wii production to end in Japan

Nintendo has announced it will cease production of Wii consoles in Japan, after selling a reported 12.7 million of the consoles across the country since 2006.
The company confirmed the end of Wii production over on its Japanese site, as spotted by Game Jouhou and Gematsu.
One line simply states, "production will soon end.”
