Wii hardware crests 56 million worldwide

Wii sold 5.75 million units in the six months ending September 30, Nintendo said today, taking the machine's life-to-date total to 56.14 million.
Over 76 million software units were sold in the same period. Life-to-date Wii software now stands at 429.23 million units.
Nintendo announced six monthly financials this morning, showing heavy drops in both revenue and profit.
