Which version of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is technically superior?
Digital Foundry has bent the four console versions of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain over its anvil and given them a good hammering. Which one comes out on top?
According to the tech boffins at Digital Foundry, the PS4 version of The Phantom Pain just pips the Xbox One due to 1080p resolution, but there's very little difference elsewhere.
Both are praised for their use of the Fox Engine and the "near-unshakable 60fps" on display.
The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions don't come out so well, with DF noting that the 20-30 fps range on old-gen consoles leaves those versions looking like they've taken on more than they can chew.
