What the hell is up with those short, bizarre Halo 5: Guardians trailers?

343 and Microsoft have produced some of the strangest, completely wacky trailers in the lead-up to Halo 5: Guardians' launch.

Halo 5: Guardians follows the usual PR cycle of continuously releasing trailers all the way up to launch. We had our launch trailer, our story trailer - all the usual.

However, Microsoft and 343 are promoting the Halo 5: Live event in the most bizarre way; by releasing very short, incredibly perplexing trailers. These aren't just weird because they're foreshadowing something, but because they're completely out of left field.

The Halo 5: Live event starts 6pm EDT today, and will go on for six hours and include celebrity interviews, developer insight, and other celebrations.
