What in the hell is going on in Final Fantasy Type-0 HD?

This is a rhetorical question, the answer to which is in the trailer below.
Final Fantasy Type-0 HD returns to a theme that has popped up a few times in the series to date: military academies churning out adolescent warriors.
As previously discussed, Type-0 is set in a world in the midst of strife, so there's plenty for our heroes to do with their time.
I'm pretty sure the trailer below is propaganda and that we'll get halfway through to find out the other side isn't that bad, and it was crystals all along. And I won't care.
Final Fantasy Type-0 arrives on PS4 and Xbox One in March, and all first-issue copies come with a code to download the FF15 demo.
