What Game Are You Playing Over Labor Day Weekend?

COMMUNITY QUESTION | It's a holiday weekend, so time for games.

The team's going to PAX West this weekend! Wow! We'll be on a bunch of panels, running around to play games, and interviewing cool people. We even have a meetup, so if you're in the area stop by to chat with us, your favorite game site writers.

It's also a holiday weekend since it's Labor Day on Monday. So that's what we're framing this week's community question around: What game are you playing during this long weekend? For us, we'll be on planes and busy playing too many demos.

You can find our whole PAX West schedule here.

Donut County is lovely, and also available on iOS for that on-the-go play.

Well, I'll be at PAX West for most of Labor Day weekend, so I'm limited to what I can play on-the-go, meaning Nintendo Switch games. Given that, I'll probably be continuing to play The Messenger. I streamed the indie title earlier this week and I enjoyed it, but another game has since taken up all my time. Since I'll be done with that game by this weekend and the next review game on my docket hasn't come in yet, I finally have time to jump back to other titles I haven't given my attention to. The Messenger feels like a game I can finish, as opposed to something like Octopath Traveler, which will still take another 20+ hours of my life.

I'm gearing up for PAX West this weekend, which Matt and I are flying into at the crack of dawn. (Excited to wake up at 4 a.m.!) As for my plane game, I'm probably picking up The Messenger, which Kat has really high praise for. Dragon Quest XI is also right around the corner though, so I'm trying to dive into something relatively light to consume my time before I jump into that beast. I also picked up Donut County on iOS just so I can get those cute iMessage stickers, so maybe I'll give that another spin. Plus I've been listening to its soundtrack non-stop since it landed on Apple Music.
