Wesker voice actor calls out Capcom on RE6 casting
Albert Wesker voice actor DC Douglas has called out Capcom to cast him again in the role for Resident Evil 6.
"Hell yeah! I know RE6 is in the works, so hopefully I'll get a chance to audition for it... or you guys could bug Capcom into casting me in it!" he told Hell Descent in an interview when asked if he was interested in returning to the role.
Douglas, however, clarified his comment on knowing a sequel was in the works, saying it was based on internet speculation and not first-hand info.
That said, you would have to be a bit soft to bet against RE6.
Before leaving the company last October, Capcom R&D boss Keiji Inafune told a Spanish site that info would start coming "shortly" just before last year's TGS.
The event passed without any official news on the game.
Douglas's comment comes as Capcom dev boss Jun Takeuchi said this morning that the publisher would announce two new, original games by this summer.
Takeuchi, who was producer of the last main title released in the series, Resident Evil 5 in 2009, will play no part in the game's production this time.
