Watch the Arabian dagger from Battlefield 1 forged in real life in this video with Danny Trejo
If they can recreate the massive swords from Dark Souls and Final Fantasy, you can bet these guys can forge the Arabian knife from Battlefield 1.
Battlefield 1 has a host of melee weapons. So many in fact, they're divided into three classes. One of them is the Arabian Jambiya kife, or the Arabian dagger.
In the video above, the talented blacksmiths at Man at Arms attempt to recreate this knife in real life. The team even used materials used in World War 1, and tried to adhere to smithing techniques popular in that era.
Actor Danny Trejo guests on this as well, lending an even more brutal feel to the whole thing. As is usually the case with these, the process takes weeks to finish, with each member of the team focusing on one particular part of the knife. That said, the video does a great job of explaining each step of the process in good detail.
The end result is amazing, and the knife has the same gold-plated handle with craved engravings seen in the game. They even test it out at the end.
