Watch 90 minutes of gameplay from new Battlefield 1 map Lupkow Pass, and take a look at the new melee weapons
As promised, DICE released one map from Battlefield 1's upcoming DLC, In the Name of the Tsar, on the game's CTE.
Called Lupkow Pass, the map will actually be out before the expansion itself, which is why it's been deployed to the CTE now for testing. Lupkow Pass is the game's first snow map, but there's quite a bit new there outside of weather effects.
Our man Westie recently livestreamed over 90 of gameplay footage showing the map in action. The video, available below, shows us the entire layout and how the map differs from what's currently available.
For starters, there are no vehicles, outside of one plane for each team. The narrow corridors of the pass may give the feeling that it's a close-quarters map, but in reality the hills and ridges surrounding those routes are easily accessible, making for plenty of chaos.
This is our first look at the new player models for the Russian army. We also get to see the unique Russian cavalry class with its horse charge ability first shown in the E3 trailer.
DICE also released a few other goodies alongside the map for CTE players. These are in the form of four new melee weapons that will be available to everyone later.
We're still waiting on the new In the Name of the Tsar firearms to make their ways to the CTE. Lupkow Pass will be released in August for Premium members.
