Warriors: Legends of Troy screensplosion of blood and hair

If you don't know what Warriors: Legends of Troy looks like after today, blame neither me nor KOEI. The publisher has sent along forty two screenshots of the Canadian-developed action game, featuring blood, circle dances, and girly-hippy-locks on men with bare legs. Rowr.

Jokes aside, the screens show a Dynasty Warriors 6-esque duelling system, with peons circling the combatants, a couple of cut scenes complete with dialogue, and even some female characters. Homer is spinning in his grave, assuming he really existed.

Warriors: Legends of Troy has been developed by KOEI's Canadian arm for the more bloodthirsty tastes outside Japan. It's the first game in the Warriors franchise to earn an ESRB rating of M, equipped as it is with blood and gore rather than magically vanishing cannon fodder.

The game features a variety of weapons and bare handed fighting across battlefields supposedly larger than any seen in Omega Force's games. Four player co-op and competitive multiplayer, backed up by leaderboards and clanning, are further new introductions to the franchise.
Warriors: Legends of Troy ships for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on March 8 in the US, and March 25 in Europe. Check out the screens below.
