Warrior All-Stars gets the whole Koei Tecmo gang together in this launch trailer
The skies will be dark tonight, because all of Koei Tecmo's brightest stars will be popping up in their fan's PlayStations and Steam accounts.
Judging from the trailer, it looks like heroes from various franchises - Dynasty Warriors, Ninja Gaiden, Nioh, Dead or Alive, Samurai Warriors, and others (where is that delightful mustachioed cat from?) - come together to save a dying world.
Warrior All-Stars is a cross-franchise musou game (meaning that it's in the style of Dynasty Warriors, with lots of hack 'n slash gameplay). The game features 30 different playable heroes from 13 different game series. You control one character at a time, but you can also select up to four 'support' characters, who can be called upon during battle by pressing R2 and one of the four face buttons.
It was well received in Japan, where it launched back in March.
Unfortunately it looks like the Vita version hasn't made it out over here (which is understandable, really), but the game is currently available in the west on Steam and PS4.
