Warner Bros. Interactive may hold its own E3 press conference one day
The Batman and Mortal Kombat publisher may one day have its own E3 show.
Warner Bros. Interactive may hold its own E3 press conference one day, if the games line-up justifies it.
The publisher behind big franchises such as Mortal Kombat, Injustice, Batman, the LEGO games and more is not against the idea, according to president David Haddad.
"For us, it's mostly slate-driven," Haddad told VentureBeat. "You look at the people that have meaningful press conferences, the big publishers--there's a slate that holds that together.
"I believe that could be in our future. It didn't make sense for us this year."
At E3 2016 last week, Warner brought Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Batman VR, and Injustice 2. Although Shadow of Mordor 2 looked like a very plausible reveal, it didn't happen.
After Bethesda's entry into the press conference fray two years ago, another show from on the bigger publishers makes sense, but the question will always be whether the output is broad enough to justify it.
