Warframe closed beta now in progress
Warframe, a free-to-play, third-person PvE shooter from Digital Extremes, has entered closed beta. I'm not in it yet. The following news post may be a little tetchy.
To celebrate and enable the beta, the game's website has switched over from teaser mode, offering a log-in system and links to news and updates.
According to a news post announcing the beta, Digital Extremes has begun slowly adding players, who are not me, to the game, with the first entrants randomly chosen from the VIP list, which I am on, consisting of those who shilled beta sign-ups assiduously, like I did.
Those who have signed up and had their VIP status confirmed by email, like me, are advised to wait patiently for a key to arrive. In the meantime, here's a new developer diary showing off the Excalibur and Rhino warframes.
Warframe is a sci-fi action game about a dying, enslaved race which discovers the secrets of an ancient technology - the Warframe. It features co-operative play in randomly generated environments, and a host of different classes, some of which can be seen in an earlier developer diary. Sounds great, right? People are playing this right now and I am not among them.
Thanks, Blue.
