Warface's new Battle Royale mode is live
Crytek's experimental Battle Royale mode for Warface has arrived - for a limited time.
Battle Royale modes are so common these days, I almost expect all multiplayer video games will soon be gathered up and forced into combat until one shooter remains standing. Crytek is among the latest to join the trend, promising open-world survival for its free-to-play Warface. This mode has just gone live with Warface's latest update - but will only be available for a limited time, so Crytek can make improvements based on player feedback.
Warface's Battle Royale mode drops fifteen players into a new Mojave Desert, with nothing but a knife to defend themselves. The player's goal is to be the last combatant standing, which can be accomplished by gathering weapons, watching out for enemies, and avoiding the map's rapidly-growing death zone.
While it's nothing new for PUBG players, it will be interesting to see how Warface's traditionally small-scale combat adapts to the larger scope of Battle Royale. The mode is out now as part of Warface's November update.
