Warcraft movie pretty much finished, might be a trilogy, VR app shows Skies of Azeroth [UPDATE]
According to director Duncan Jones, the Warcraft movie is "pretty much" in the bag, save for a few VFX shots which need to be added.
Speaking in an interview with io9 at Comic-Con (thanks, Polygon), Jones said other than the 10 or so visual effect shots which "are being finished off right now," the movie is "kinda done."
Jones went on to state he spoke with Blizzard's SVP of story and franchise development Chris Metzen, and the two have an idea of where to take the story next, should the first film turn into a trilogy.
If you'd like to get an idea of what Legendary Pictures' Warcraft film looks like, a VR app for Android and iOS is available for download. It provides the user with the ability to explore its films, and the Skies of Azeroth demo provided a rather neat look at Stormwind from a Gryphon's perspective.
Originally, a user video for the VR demo was posted but Legendary Pictures purged it along with others from YouTube. Today, it released the official version. It's posted below and through the link.
The Warcraft film is set for a June 2016 release in theaters.
