War Z beta launch will include Halloween content, map size doubled

The War Z goes into beta phase from today, and developer Hammerpoint Games has thrown some Halloween-themed content into the mix. Get the details below.

Polygon reports that the update is more than just a festive gimmick however, as it doubles the Colorado map size, adds new zombies, and offers players new character skins.

The site also reports that Hammerpoint is extending its pre-order incentives for The War Z's 'Legends' pack. It's $49.99 and includes beta access, $30 of in-game currency, three beta passes for your friends and eligibility for six months of server hosting.
