War of the Roses monthly content updates kick off Wednesday

War of the Roses will benefit from the first of a series of planned monthly content updates this Wednesday.

This first content drop packs in a pile of new equipment including the Kingmaker sword, a new suit of heavy armor, one new helmet, four new visors, and seven new weapons. The new weapons include the gothic mace, halberd and horn-spanned crossbow.

More substantially, the update includes a new game mode called Pitched Battle. The draw card of this mode is permadeath; go down once, and you're out of the match. As such, revives, bandaging and executions are crucial. The new mode will launch in open beta.

A live stream will demonstrate the new Pitched Battle mode. Tune into Paradox Interactive's Twitch channel from 6:00PM GMT November 21.
