Vessel launches, prepares to transform life as we know it
It's been a long time coming, but indie title Vessel has finally emerged from developers Strange Loop Games, and early comments suggest it was probably worth the wait.
Vessel truly is a labour of love - the Aussie developers quit their day jobs in order to concentrate solely on development.
Three years later, opinions vary on just how much bang you'll get for your buck, from "plenty" to "bucketloads": The developers claim it's "about 10 solid hours of gameplay", made up of challenging puzzles and no filler or repeated sequences. It's already been nominated for an IGF gong for Technical Excellence, so you know you're onto something good.
If you want to get your hands on a great new indie, then you'd better head either to Steam or to the official Strange Loop website.
If you pick it up directly from the developer, there's a fun perk, too: 10% off the asking price, plus you effectively get two copies of the game, as Strange Loop happily slip a Steam code across the table, in addition to your DRM-free download.
