Valve says it is interested in Wii U
Gabe Newell has said Valve is interested in Wii U as it "fits better" into the firm's "scalability model," than the original Wii.
Speaking with Joystiq during New York's Games for Change Festival today, Newell said since moving from a PC-only business model into Xbox 360 and finally onto PS3, developing for Wii U will be easy for the firm as it will fit "within that framework."
"Wii U seems to be a lot more powerful than the previous generation," he said. "It sort of fits better into the scalability in terms of graphics performance and CPU performance, so I think it'll be a lot easier for us to fit it into our scalability model.
"We've always loved Nintendo. Now it's a lot easier to look at Wii U and have it fit within that framework."
Joystiq post a breakdown of Newell's keynote later today.
