Valkyria Chronicles hopes rekindled by trademark
Sega has made a trademark of great interest to fans of the criminally undervalued Valkyria Chronicles franchise.
Two Valkyria Chronicles games have made it west so far, and the series has developed a fervent cult following despite little mainstream recognition.
If you're one of the faithful, it's time to get excited; Gematsu reports Sega has made a trademark that looks a heck of a lot like a new Valkyria Chronicles game: Aoki Kakumei no Valkyria, or Valkyria of the Blue Revolution. It fits the series's Japanese title conventions to date.
It could be some sort of mobile spin-off of course, and even if it is a full game it might not come west; Valkyria Chronicles 3 was not localised. But the original Valkyria Chronicles got a second lease on life thanks to a PC port last year, and a PS4 or Vita sequel isn't totally off the cards. Fingers crossed, eh?
