USstreamer: Bob Tours through Half-Life 2: Episode One Today at 1:00pm PT/4:00pm ET [Now Archived on YouTube!]

Tune in for an exploration of Valve's first experiment with episodic content.

This article first appeared on USgamer, a partner publication of VG247. Some content, such as this article, has been migrated to VG247 for posterity after USgamer's closure - but it has not been edited or further vetted by the VG247 team.

10 years ago, Valve began their foray into the world of episodic content with Half-Life 2: Episode One: The first installment in what was originally planned to be Half-Life 2's three-part conclusion.

Of course, we all know how that turned out. And while Valve would eventually move on to equally interesting projects, if you were a fan of a developer as long as a decade ago, you likely have a Half-Life-shaped hole in your heart. Since exploratory surgery is expensive, why not try to heal this wound by taking a trip back to 2006, when it seemed as if we'd already be on Half-Life 5 by the ungodly future year of 2016? I'll be streaming Half-Life 2 Episode One for a solid hour today, so sit back and get ready to return to a time when the future still seemed bright for this influential FPS series.

It all starts on USgamer's Twitch.tv channel today at 1:00pm PT/4:00pm ET—or you can stay on this page and watch the stream from here. And if you can't make it, don't worry; our streams are always backed up on our YouTube channel. And if you're reading this after the stream has already happened, you'll see that version embedded below.
