US PS Store update, October 23 - Dark Souls DLC, Unfinished Swan, more

Bless my soul, this week's PlayStation Store update is absolutely chokkers with new games and enough DLC to feed a small village; even the Vita gets a decent look in. Hooray for the holiday season.

Two new games have joined the gleaming PS3 Full Games cohort - Medal of Honor: Warfighter, which you should patch immediately if it the option is offered to you, and The Darkness II, a much overlooked gem from earlier this year.

Indie treasure The Unfinished Swan drops today, too, along with Killzone HD and the single-player campaign of Starhawk, newly liberated from PlayStation Plus.

Street Fighter x Tekken is finally available for Vita, and is joined by my personal dreamboat Orgarhythm, Super Monkey Ball Banana Splitz, 999 Doors follow up[ Zero Escape: Virtue's last reward and the free app Frobisher Says.

Speaking of Vita, the following PSP and PSOne Classics are now compatible with the device directly from the PS Store: Final fantasy III; Pong; Centipede; Missile Command; and Virtual Pool.

Winback: Covert Operations is the latest PS2 Classic to arrive, and on the bundle side, pick up both early Naughty Bear games for $20.

An exclusive timed trial for Medal of Honor: Warfighter is top of the PS Plus list, but there are other demos for the rest of us - Sports Champion 2, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and Super Monkey Ball Banana Splitz.

On to DLC now; there's a huge pile of launch content for Street Fighter x Tekken Vita, songs for Just dance 4 and Rock Band 3, and new add-ons for New Little King's Story, Super Monkey Ball Banana Splitz; Pure Chess; Dead or Alive 5; Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit; One Piece: Pirate Warriors; Mugen Souls; Sleeping Dogs, Saints Row: The Third; Tekken Tag Tournament 2; Tokyo Jungle; Uncharted 3: drake's Deception; Worms Revolution and XCOM: Enemy Unknown. But the piece de resistance is definitely Astorias of the Abyss, an expansion for Dark Souls. Squeeeeeee et cetera.

Finally, there are a couple of soundtracks on offer, and the PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale beta is now open to all; reports have been generally positive so do check it out if you like brawlers.
